Sandwich Saturday

  • mommyluvs2cook 5 years ago
Morning! We are meeting my Dad for lunch at "Which Wich". https://www.whichwich.com/menu/
You basically build your own sandwich. They also do wraps, salads and lettuce wraps. I will probably do a salad or lettuce wrap.

After Bri's meet the teacher they had requested we get a few more things for school supplies that wasn't on the list, so we are getting that today as well. School supplies list are getting longer and longer every year, but I'm not complaining. Have you seen this facebook video? It's freaking hilarious!! https://www.facebook.com/viralmotion/videos/1405229599606483/UzpfSTE2NzA3MzkwMDY6MTAyMTA4NDYzMzQ1MDkwMDE/

Doing shrimp something tonight. Have a great day!!!

    Good Morning Everyone!

I love the sandwich shop Michelle, menu looks great. Have fun with your Dad. Hmmm, think I'll be getting the black bean patty build your own. That's crazy all the stuff kids need to get for school these days. The times they hava changed. The video is cute.

We ate out last night. After the gym I was very tired and not too far is 'Two Meatballs in the Kitchen'. Typical Italian menu. DH had chix francese and I had chix parm. Their red sauce is mediocre so next time we go I'll have to remember not to get anything with their red sauce (including pastas). DH's francese was great (again).
We had 3 storms pass thru yesterday! The first starting soon after we got to the gym. Hoping today is a clear day.
Not much more going on at the moment. It's the weekend so we won't be doing much. Thinking of either a pork loin or filet loin for dinner.

    Hi everyone
We had a Summer Party for all of the Agents at work. Super cool. I had it at this place called the Tiki bar. It’s actually part of the Nashoba Valley ski area. But what do you do in summer when you can’t ski. Open a tiki bar. They had lots of cool frozen drinks. I gave everyone 2 drink tickets. Lol the drink tickets cost the company $10.50 each but when I met with our host he said they could order a drink up to $12. So the bookkeeper Maureen was telling everyone make sure you upgrade the liquor in your drink so it’s $12 that way we get our moneys worth. Lol most of the drinks were $9. Not bad.
They had a sandy beach with a dock a pavilion. And games. Corn hole which lots played and seemed to enjoy. There was also other lawn games and volley ball nets. Right as we were leaving to go we got a huge rainstorm so unfortunately the sand was pretty wet but no one seemed to mind and the rain held off for the most part the rest of the night. We had a huge tent too with picnic tables. For food I did the tiki buffet. There was Ceasar salad, clam chowder, jerk chicken wings, ribs nachos and pizza. Food was pretty good too.
Tonight I am going to a friend from high schools daughters sweet 16 party. Not wanting to but she came to graduation party so I have to. The place is near my moms place so I will stop by and visit with her first.
Just took a jaunt to Trader Joe’s.

    Good Afternoon everybody!

Saw your post last night Karen that you are in Denver. How long of a drive is that from your place? We are seeing the smoke in the skies here in Rainy River allllll the way from the B.C. fires. :(

Yum on shrimp Michelle. Hope you had a nice lunch out with your Dad.

"Two Meatballs in the kitchen" is a cute name for a restaurant Linda.

Cool @ the Tiki Bar Laurie. :) Sounds like the party was a lot of fun. The menu sounded yummy. I could totally go for some wings right now. Hope you end up having fun at the Sweet 16 party. How's your Mom doing and how is Frank's Dad making out?

Jim and I picked Mom up this morning shortly after 10 a.m. She said she wanted to go for a drive with us as we were heading waaaayyyy out in the country to look at a used lawn mower for sale. We ended up buying it and the lady invited us in for coffee, banana bread and raisin bars (which she called Polish bannock) :). We saw a young healthy black bear on the way there.

Had a bunch of cedar waxwings in the plum tree outside the dining room window yesterday. They were having a feast.

    I'm making
    Chicken Bake Samm
for dinner tonight with corn on the cob, baked potatoes and maybe some cold veggies.

Have a great rest of the day everyone!

Hello and good evening to all. Been a bit busy lately. Bought several, well, more like 8 or 9 outfits for my new little grandson. Need to find a plush animal or toy specific to Florida for him this week. We are leaving on Friday to Nashville. We are driving. It's a 10 hour drive but since we could not get a direct flight and then spend time and money with a rental car we decided to just drive. By the time we did all that it would probably take longer. We have a Tahoe that is literally like sitting in your living room with all the bells and whistles so we will be fine! I can plug my computer in and just enjoy games all the way up! I am super excited about meeting my grandson. My oldest boy's boy! Not sure what our agenda is just yet. Michael wants me to cook Saturday night! We will see.

    Sleep Sweet All...............as always..........
