hey everybody! didn't sleep well. :( i did my first physio exercises at home thurs. and my arm pain increased a lot! so i didn't do them yesterday and i'm going to skip them today too. ouch. :(
had coffee at home and then went into town and had breakfast at mcd's. grabbed some groceries afterwards and now i'm cuddled up in front of a fire jim built me in the family room. it is hockey day in canada today and i really enjoy the tv broadcasts from noon on.
going to make veal scallopini with noodles and pesto for dinner this evening. the pickle brined chicken i made last night was awesome and i posted the recipe this morning. will totally be making it again. pic below. the peking pork we made last night was quite yummy as well. pic below as well. :) also a pic of our ploughman's lunch yesterday.
    have a great day everyone!

Wow, all delicious looking food!! I like the ploughman's lunch, what a cool idea! :)
Ouch, physio shouldn't hurt too much so something isn't right? Yeah, it's probably best that you hold off the exercises until you see them again. I hope it feels better soon!! :)

Nothing much happening today, just chillin' :) Leftover spaghetti for dinner.
    Have a great day everyone!

Running around - errand day. Grabbed some stuff to make a pasta salad for pot luck at church except the only pasta we have is spaghetti and I totally forgot to get more shells. I guess I Best do some fast r pie searches.....have broken spaghetti into small pieces so that might substitute fine.

    Back again.
Too bad your arm hurts so badly. I would check also....don't want to cause more damage.

Spaghetti sounds good. No idea what to fix for supper. Salad will be for pot luck tomorrow. Wayne is picking up a Papa Murphy pizza that you bake at home, for tomorrow supper. Probably have lots of munchies during the game. I have craved chocolate so got a turtle pie slice (2).

    Have a good day.

We are not supposed to have a lot of bread and Wayne growls about thin crust so I just don't buy pizza. If he would relax about eating a thin crust pizza, he could have it more often. Ha ha. But I relented for Super Bowl.

Usually this is the week he stays over but with last Sunday being the last day in January, he stayed over for the 1st-Monday meeting then. Confused? Anyhow he picked up some wine and we have munchies so will be set for the game (actually, commercials for me, game for him).

Just took a break to remove Trouble from chewing a cord -- rescue the bag of dried meal worms for the chickens from Mauser -- and chase Trouble from the desk where [WHY = ???] a roll of bathroom tissue is residing and a little kitty mouth was latched on to it - it is now quiet and only trouble is racing about in the kitchen. No idea what she is up to, but as long I can hear her dashing about nothing is probably destroyed. OOPS - spoke too soon - Trouble is sneaking back to the desk. AARGH!

Hi all!! Sorry your in so much pain Janet, it's probably a good idea to teak a couple days off from doing the exercises. Cuddling up in front of the fire today sounds like a good plan :) Yum on the veal scallopini, something I've never made! Bookmarked your pickle brine chicken. Awesome on the Ploughman's lunch, that looks like a fun little platter :)

Sounds like you had a relaxing day Shona, enjoy just chillin' :)

That's nice your going to let Wayne indulge a little tomorrow for Super Bowl. Lol, I only watch it for the commercials too :P :P Lol at the naughty little kitties :)

Had a busy day. Bri had Softball practice this morning from 9-noon then after wards I went and worked out really fast while Michael and the kids went and ate at Freebirds. (Freebirds didn't sound appealing to me today for some reason). I came home after that and had a light lunch then went to Sam's and Walmart, which was not fun (the Walmart part), especially on a Saturday. Going to make some Asian lettuce wraps tonight. Bye for now everyone, have a great evening!!

I prefer thin crust too, I'd rather get full on the toppings than all the bread :)

I decided on this Asian wraps recipe http://www.food.com/recipe/asian-beef-lettuce-wraps-320630

I relayed the overall consensus that thin crust was better....Wayne was not impressed. His comments are, "Well, I didn't get the THICK CRUST." Men! LOL.

    Asian lettuce wraps sound great.

Kitties are resting for their late night rampage. Geezer is staring inside the window, even though I fed him twice already -- he is lonely and wants more holding and petting. He has eaten enough for three cats tonight. No sign of Blondie.

We are having a nice cup of hot coffee in the LR. Movies on TV are either too gory or we have seen them or......So, the Cumberland Highlanders, a Bluegrass group on RFDTV, is the program of choice.

Have a nice evening. See you later.
