Saturday`s Supermarket!

Good Morning Everyone! Just grabbing a cup of coffee and then we`re going to head to this HUGE Filopino Supermarket about 15 minutes away. Benjamin`s girlfriend Angel told us about it (she`d seen a Youtube video) and we want to go check it out. It`s 5,000 square feet and I want to walk up and down every single aisle. :)

Jim`s Aunt wants us to join them for lunch at 11:30 and then we`re on our way to St. Catharines to visit with Jim`s brother and SIL and family for the weekend.

Glad your PET/CT scan went smoothly Karen. The Patient Party sounded marvelous. Quite the feast! How did your Hair cuts go?

The funeral was SO beautiful. Jim`s Uncle became a Minister after he retired so there were a lot of clergy from other churches that he had helped with services or playing the organ. The grandkids and his sons all did such touching funny eulogies and everyone was in stitches. He was a very good man.

All of Jim`s siblings with the exception of his sister in Alaska were there and numerous neices and nephews and a big group of us went back to the Pump and Patio for dinner again. Again Jim and I shared a PIzza, Hawaiian Fusion with Banana peppers this time and wings but Lemon pepper this time.

All came back to the Inn afterwards and headed to bed around 11.

    Wishing everyone a great Saturday.

    Good Morning Everyone.

I'm glad to hear the service turned out so well Janet and your having a good time catching up with family. The market sounds too good to resist. Hope you find some great goodies while there. How long a drive to St. Catharines?

Happy to hear your scan went well Karen. I know I hate MRI and can only do the open kind. Great you were able to catch the party. How was Matts?

Not much for plans today. It's the weekend so we will lay low. We made the mistake of eating out last night (should know not to eat out on Friday and Saturday nights) and even though we go early (for 5:00) so does every other visiting Senior adult. We brought LD with us and sat outside on the patio area. Half of it was set up for a large party and another group of 4 wanted to move their tables away from the party so they crowded us and then kept dragging and moving the tables around for about 15 minutes. It was really irritating and even another table next to us spoke up about it in a "joking" way so they got the message.
Will go to the gym this afternoon and I'll be sure to pull out something for dinner.

Glad everything went so well at Jim's Uncles' celebration of his life, Janet. I bet that market will be fantastic filled with many interesting things. Enjoy your day.

Nice to hear everything went so well yesterday, Karen. Lol your lap is never free:)

Also good to hear you found someone to do your bathroom, Linda. Enjoy your relaxing day.

We are waiting for the furnace guy to come and clean the furnace and gas fireplace, Not much happening here today. I bought a Tens machine and it came in the mail from Amazon yesterday. I wasn't very expensive but if it works well I will let you know. They use a Tens like machine on my shoulder and they also use an ultrasound with deep heat on my elbow. I might consider buying one of those as well as they aren't too expensive either. Den is having his normal cheeseburgers and fries and I am not sure what I am having yet. Tomorrow I am going with Chirs, Angie and the kids for Dim Sum in Ottawa. Not sure what we are doing after that. It should be fun.

    Wishing everyone a great day!

Quick hi. We have been working on organizing church council notes. Very thrilling....not! The fire department minutes are next.

Four cats found spots on my lap and / or the arms of the recliner. Trouble left for quieter pastures so I now have AC, Mauser, and Mel. Fritz is happy, on Wayne’s lap.

It sounds like a wonderful tribute to Jim’s uncle, Janet.

Ugh on the crowded dining area Linda. I would plan on eating super early also, Linda. Esp. On weekends.

Hi Joce. I like my tens machine also. How well does the ultrasound one relieve pain?

We ate at Matt’s last night. It was busy but not overcrowded. The large dining area has a rock, gas fireplace in the center....it is huge and would take up half of my living room. I had top sirloin with asparagus....yummy. Wayne had pork chops covered in mushroom gravy, with garlic mashed potatoes. I sampled a piece and it was tender and tasty. We had dessert, which I never do...and the pecan turtle cheesecake was super good....rich, creamy, caramel covered!

Burgers tonight! Too lazy to cook.

    Have a nice evening.
