    Good Morning Everyone!
It is almost noon so I thought I would start a thread before then. The Sens are playing this afternoon at 3:00 PM. We are doing laundry and have just finished having MacDonal'd for breakfast. Dinner will be garlic studded pork roast if is thawed if not it will be for tomorrow night's dinner. If it isn't thawed we will figure out something else for dinner tonight instead.
    Wishing everyone a great day!

Hi Joce, your breakfast and dinner plans sound great! Go Sens GO!

Just planning our day, we are so busy the next two weekends that I told Pete we have to get all our gardening done now! We have friends coming down from Edmonton tomorrow, so we are busy cleaning and doing laundry; then have to head out for food and gardening supplies. Pete is suppose to go with our friends to Calgary to watch their son's Football game, but I might keep him home to help with the garden. He's going to Vancouver on a work trip next weekend, then we have Sophia's b-day party the weekend after that so we can't do any work around here until June 10th weekend. Ugh, this happens every Spring-Fall. It goes by so quick!
Dinner is chicken something, maybe tacos or quesadilla's, with a big garden salad. I'm going to bake the chicken breasts now as we're suppose to be hot later today and I have no A/C at the moment. Off to eat breakfast and get ready!.........

Have a great day everyone! :)

    Good afternoon everyone.

I don't think that I've ever had MacDonald's for breakfast and I must fix that. I love garlic studded roast pork and haven't had that in ages, enjoy. I'm sure that you know this but just in case you don't...it will thaw much quicker if you put in on something metal like a cast iron pan or pot. I sure hope that the officiating is better for this game!!

Wow Shona, that is busy. I would be inclined to ask him to stay home and help. I wanted to get the herbs planted this weekend but it didn't happen. I have to get the laundry going soon, it's piling up. Either of you dinner choices sound good.

It's a dark and dreary day here as well as cold. I am so looking forward to the Sens game this aft. Dinner will be roast carrots, mashed turnip, baby potatoes and prime rib. I'm trying to get the freezer cleaned out and found one at the bottom.

    Go Sens Go

OOOoooo....I like today's thread title Joce! :) Jim and I arrived in Montreal safe and sound yesterday afternoon although the traffic in West Montreal was horrible. Heading to the party in an hour. Gonna miss the game!!!! Ahhhhhhhh!!!! Oh well. We'll PVR it.

Just a quick pop in. Tried some AH-mazing crab and shrimp cakes yesterday from a local fish guy and today for lunch had these crazy awesome Trinidadian sandwiches called "Doubles", made with naan bread and curried chick peas. They were phenomenal.

Having a super good time. Doing a bit of genealogy on the side as well as Jim's Aunt and Uncle brought the old family Bible along with them.

How fun that you have friends coming to visit Shona! Will Pete get a chance to visit with any family when he's out in Vancouver?

Cheer extra loud for the Sens for me please Bren!!!!

    Hi Karen!

Will write more when I get back home.

Good evening all. Saw DH today and he was in much better spirits than he was Thursday night. Either meds are kicking in or he knows and understands he will be getting out of there soon. His room is all ready at the other place and fingers crossed Tuesday is the day and it goes well. At least his room will be nice and comfortable and hoping he accepts what he has to do.
After I left the hospital I had some things to drop off at the new place and then realized I was hungry and had a hankering for Chinese. Even though it was out of my way I took myself to PF Changs and sat down at the bar to eat. Shortly after a woman sat next to me ... we started talking and she was really nice. She lost her husband a few years back and knows what I'm going thru, we exchanged numbers and hope to see each other again. It was good to be out.

Hi everyone! I need a vacation after this weekend! Nonstop. Becca's prom was Friday night after pictures and such I went to a friend's house that was having a girls night. Saturday I went to my niece's college graduation. The. Saturday night my boss had a cookout party at his house. This morning I got up at the crack of dawn to run in a race with my Sole Sisters in memory of Max. A fellow Sole Sisters baby that passed away a year ago from Krable's disease. Then I came home and helped frank put the stairs in the pool. Then we went to Gloucester to the Mile Marker for lobster rolls. Over looks a marina and is where the show deadliest catch is filmed. Then we went to Rockport which is a little seaside area with shops and such and walked around. My feet are freaking killing me!
    Linda glad you checked in.

    Pork roast sounds wonderful, Joce.

Good luck with gardening Shona. I have green beans to plant and another basil, one is potted to see if I can keep it or slips alive over winter.

I was t aware a roast would thaw faster on a metal pot, Bren. Will have to remember that!

Old Bibles can provide a wealth on information for sure Janet. Glad you had a good lunch. Have not tried naan bread.

Glad to hear your DH is being transferred to a good place, Linda.

Our internet is working again. It is really something how dependent we are on it.

Must go. Both of us are tired and ready to crash. Fritz is active .... he was crated all day and very playful now he is out.
