Weather is clearing here so far. Lots of wind overnight and a little rain but clearing out right now.
Long, sad weekend. Our friend passed away at 12:20 yesterday from cancer. Did all my cooking Friday and Saturday. Spent yesterday afternoon reflecting on our friendship of almost 40 years. Sad day.
We are having lasagna tonight. My sis and brother-in-law will be here all week till Friday. Not used to cooking so much. But glad to have the family here.
Have a great day everyone. Drive careful and stay warm. Belated Happy Birthday Wynne!

That stew sounds good, P. And the bread, too!

I enjoyed sleeping in on this last day of the 4 day weekend. Steve is driving me crazy talking about the trip to DW. Got a lot of planning to do ahead of time. Shopping for clothes...etc...
I guess we are going to rent a house to stay in. Yay, I'll get to cook on vacation. lol
I can not wait to try some 'fresh' seafood. mmmm
I should have a laptop for the trip so will be able to keep in touch and will post pics along the way. We've done trips to St. Louis which is about 5 hours away. This will be our first BIG family vacation.

It's a bright pretty day here. The girls are finally getting to ride those scooters. Looks like a lot of fun. Thinking about joining them.

    Something hamburgery for dinner....

I'm so sorry for your loss, Val but am happy your friend is at peace. I really didn't mean to not say anything. I apologize for my thoughtlessness.

Wynne-I believe we will start driving the 19th or 20th of March. Probably very early on the 20th. He said it would be Sunday afternoon when we get to Orlando. He's doing all the driving. That would be awesome to meet up. Maybe we could plan it as a restaurant night. We won't be eating out all the time but will a couple.

We bought where we did because of the kids. Most of the time, we trade it for somewhere else.

I'm a two and a half hour drive west of Orlando. Fred's birthday is the 20th. We could come over on a weekend day and meet for an early supper. I couldn't drive over after getting off at work at 5:30. My night vision is atrocious. There must be away to meet centrally. Let's get ready to google!

Pat, timeshares are meant to be traded, then it works well. My step dad's timeshare sits unused in Hawaii and he just keeps paying for it and never goes anywhere. It is sad.

Val, so sorry about your friend. Loss is never easy and I'm sure your friendship was a comfort during these final days. God bless you.

Dinner is homemade meatballs (baked, not fried) in marinara over linguine. If anyone wakes up.....Fred is extra tired and I don't think he will even get up for supper.

I am in Orlando! I'd love to meet you all. That would be way too much fun :)

Pat I have to tell you that Mr. SuchAFuss has gone on and on about the Turkey Salisbury Steak. It is one of the very few things he has had as left overs. Went directly into a sandwich to go with the football game this past Sunday.

Tonight was scrounge night. I sauteed up the Oriental Cole Slaw with some of the left over shredded pork that Mom sent over, side of apple cranberry sauce and I was in heaven. Mr. SuchAfuss had the wings from the roast chicken and I'm guessing chips.

I'm with Pat on the not flying anymore.
Sorry Val for your friends passing.... glad you have your family around all week.
I'm making an old standby again, Chile de Arbol Chicken along with some hot spicy cheesy Spanish rice.
    It's almost ready....
    Have a great night all....
