Soggy Saturday

My reservation fell through, they didn't have a handicapped accessible room at either of the quiet inns downtown. My deposit won't be refunded for five days and I have decided not to spend the money. I'll go out to supper with Olivia and my sister. We will talk about moving Liv out, selling and buying. Besides what would I do three days w/o my furry companions. They are my anti-depressants. I can fix some Schwans and read my books with a warm loving dog at ny side. All I need is some ice tea.

Pasco County to the north of us has declared a state of emergency for the flooding and road damage. We are going to have two more days of rain. Never saw the blue moon last night, much too cloudy.

My fingers are healing slowly. Still can't bend them but the swelling is lessoning.

Hope ya'll have a great weekend. Safe travels. (and a $200.00 wedding gift is generous in my book).

My wandering daughter loves chicken wings with a passion. Pictures show her early addiction. LOL And Fred bringing his baby girl home.

Too bad about there being no handicap rooms available. But I hope you have a nice time with Olivia and your sister. Wayne saw the blue moon - he said it was a bright moon like any other so I figured I was happy not braving the mosquitoes. We are due rain Wednesday or Tuesday, depending on who you listen to about weather. Florida has had its share. Blame El Niño -- LOL!! Someone said we were to have extra snowfall this winter, but I will hold judgement until then.

GS and Wayne's buddy are due to come and help with the hay. We should have enough for the winter - after this field. He has a possible second cutting on two areas but not sure if or when he can do it. I made potato salad and will also have ham sandwiches for lunch. Ham pasta salad for potluck tomorrow, and cucumber tomato salad. There is a loaf of banana bread waiting to be eaten so that should be good for lunch. Supper will likely be a Schwanns skillet meal or Kielbasa sautéed with onions and celery, broccoli on the side. Anything super easy.

A.C. Is asleep, snoring. Mauser finally collapsed after a wild morning and has settled down beside dozing, innocent Trouble, who is recouping from being extricated from the lazy Susan area in the side cupboard. She would only come out when I reached in and rattled the mixing bowls, then shot out like some monster was after her.

Guess I better scram and maybe see about making sandwiches so lunch can be quick. Take care. Hi everyone!

Hi! Aww that's too bad there wasn't a handicapped room available for you Tina :( It probably is a good idea to save the money, and curl up with a book and a doggie :) LOVE all the pics!

Yum on all the food Karen, I'll take a slice of banana bread please :)

Met my dad for lunch today at Jason's Deli. Had a cup of soup and a half sandwich, neither in my diet lol. Just got home and I have a full dishwasher to unload and laundry, lot's of laundry...ugh. Making lettuce wraps for dinner http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Chef-Johns-Chicken-Lettuce-Wraps/?prop31=8 but not sure what to serve along with it yet, maybe black beans? Wishing everyone a great Saturday!!

Banana bread on the way! I am in the truck driving so Wayne's buddy can stack hay. He is stacking even rows now so I have a minute to check in. Gas will be late -- Wayne is not happy about that and he will not get full pay for half a job. Best go.
