Somnolent Sunday

Definitely a slumber in type of day. We've been back to the grocers to get what was misinterpreted from my list. Simple exchange of mustard for horseradish.

Karen, you inspired me with your pickles in the ham salad. I'm going to make my own horsey pickles! Way cheaper than Nathan's brand. Bummer on the baler.

Marie, you are a trooper. Your kitties are lucky to have a momma like you.

Thank you everyone for the anniversary wishes. We ended up splitting a sub and a bite of potato salad. 31 years, Marie, and some days it feels a lot longer.....LOL depends on Fred's last nerve stomping.

I'm going to attempt some cooking ahead for the week. Not one of my marathon mega meal prep, but more of a port in the storm meal preparaton. Don't know if I'll get medical release to return to work. My BP and heart rate were way off yesterday. I feel very dizzy with lots of pain today. I won't be doing a lot with the knife by hand. The processor will be put to use.

Have a lovely day my ODD friends!

One of my most favorite songs of all time. Annie Lennox has a great voice. And it fits my food pun of the day, picture one.

Picture two is our breakfast, roasted ratatouille with baked eggs. So yummy.
Picture three, my baby picture on left, Olivia on the right. Hard to believe I was a preemie, mom did a good job fattening me up on cream of wheat.

Yum! Your breakfast looks awesome! Do you have it posted? I love that song! She does it just perfectly! I was a preemie baby too! There is no denying Liv is your child! You look so much alike:) Taking it easy today is a good plan for you:) I love the pun too!

Doing laundry today and then I am going to drive to Brockville again. It is about an hour away. I need to return a couple of things I bought, when I was there last time, after I met with Christina. Dinner is yet to be determined. I might pick up something for dinner when I am there? I better hit the shower and get ready to go!

Hoping everyone has a wonderful day!

It's pouring. Cats and Dogs pouring. I'm so glad I don't need a store run at this point. I'm knee deep in food prep. Fred is hungry. I'm going to grill him a cheese sandwich. I'm sure he would prefer that Smoked turkey wrap instead.

Yum on meatball soup and salad. I haven't figured out our dinner. I've got the menu planned for 6 days and I guess it just depends on what Fred would like best. I'm leaning towards eggplant parm with a side of Italian sausages.

Hey everyone. Had a girls day with Rachel and Becca. Started off with pedicures, the mall shopping. Becca and I got our eyebrows threaded but Rachel chickened out so then we went to super cuts and she got hers waxed. Lunch at the 99 and then Marashalls lol the power went out when we were there and Becca was in fitting room trying on a bathing suit. Then we went out for ice cream. I'm pooped we started at 10am and got home at 4:45.
I have to cook up that chicken so it doesn't go bad.

Yes Tina, looked like you guys got pounded! We were on our way for a late lunch, early dinner and it looked quite ominous out there! Total black skies, thunder and lightening, but we didn't get a drop of rain up here!!! Hubby's birthday today so it's been all about him, lol! Which is quite all right..........love my guy to the moon (so the younger ones say, lol) !

Enjoy all...........! And of course, when the time comes.......Sleep Sweet..........as always...................

The Asiago Basil Pasta Salad that I threw together last night for the potluck after church turned out pretty good, so I posted it.

Baler is still wonky. Wayne is planning on trying to bale the small field tomorrow if he finishes raking it today and puts the new tire on the baler. Two people depend on him for hay this winter so he is not happy the bale is acting wonky.

We were late getting home today. I mopped the kitchen floor and threw in a load of laundry. While it is finishing I am going to go see how the barn work is progressing and water the outdoor cats on the way.

We have been married 47 years this June.

Field is raked and ready to bale. Cross your fingers everyone that the baler actually works. Rain for Monday afternoon so we are pushing time!

Drier is done so I have to get moving. Wayne is back from raking and is tired. Guess I need to figure out something for supper, too.
