Stay Away Rain Saturday!

Morning everyone!! Looks like it might rain today, and we are supposed to have a LONG day at the softball fields! Our little town should invest in some indoor fields with how much rain out's we get lol. Plus if it get's rained out, our hair color/confetti egg fundraiser get's rained out as well :(

Bri had a friend stay over and then she will be going with us today as well, she is considering playing softball in the near future and wants to see what it's all about. No dinner plans for tonight since I have no clue when we will be home. We will probably stop for something quick on the way back.

    Have a great Saturday everyone!!!

The rug is pretty much dry Joce, thanks for asking! I'm think it should be fine, we had super high power fan blowing on it for 3 days straight lol. Thanks for starting the new groups, great idea!!

Omg Janet, that Tomato Blue Cheese soup looks amazing!!

Ugh on having to drive in the icky rain Karen, and the long walk :(

Hi Kimmer, too neat on seeing one of your friends at the restaurant and sharing a table. I checked out the menu but I can't get it to scroll past the starters? I would try their clam chowder though :)

Good Morning Michelle! I hope the rain stays at bay for your tournament and fund raising. Glad to hear your rug is pretty much dry. Enjoy your day!!!!!

How fun to run into your friends at the restaurant Kimmer! Wow on the menu! I'm SO going for the Tempura Grouper cheeks as an appy. The soft shell crab for my main. What did you order? Have fun with your Grandson this weekend! How's hubby doing?

Your driving conditions sounded pretty bad last night Karen. Jim and I watched more Olympics last night as well. The luge is pretty fun. :)

Jim and I are again having our morning coffee in front of the Men's Olympic Hockey Game. We've got an Ottawa Senators Hockey Game on at 2 p.m. as well. I may run out to the local library and grab a movie to watch tonight.

Not sure about dinner quite yet.

    Wishing everyone a grand day!

    Good morning.

Michelle, our internet is so slow that websites don’t always work. So frustrating. I can empathize with the frustration, although operator head space could be part of my problem also! I was looking at several restaurant menus yesterday and they all either stalled out, refused to show complete menu, or did not show the prices etc. It is raining a bit, will stop for a bit then start up again. We have a flood warning out so travel could be dicey. No roads around here are closed but I imagine J is possible. The ground is saturated so the water has no place to go. More coming.

We enjoyed parts of the Olympics also, Janet. The halfpipe competition was so cool. Our daughter is a Sean White fan, so she thought his getting the gold was super cool! I can’t say curling thrilled me....I knew about it but..........Guess the summer ones are more cup of tea, esp the swimming!

Daughter had texted me last night. Shots fired close to her home. She called police and they did come to investigate. She has not let us know if they found anything. Probably sleeping in late! We hear shots every so often here but it is more of an issue in town.

Got to go. Wayne hears wTer running so we are taking the Gator down to investigate. May have flooding in the creek!

Good Morning Karen! Yikes on your daughter hearing shots. Good she reported it. If you have flooding in the creek does that cause your road problems?

Canada won the Bronze in the Men's hockey. We've decided to go out for breakfast.

    Good Morning Everyone.

Awesome to hear your rug is dried out Michelle. Hopefully everything else is now dry too and you won't have any problems later. Ick on the rainy day and possibly getting rained out for softball and your fund raiser. Hope it holds off.

I so wish I was a fan of tomato soup Janet because the one with blue cheese (I love blue cheese) looks good. Do let us know what movie you get and watch. I almost rented Dunkirk the other night but we opted for American Made with Tom Cruise first. It was a good and a story I didn't know.

Awesome Joce that you made groups to bump the porn people. Ingenious!! Thank you.

Yikes on the gun shots being heard so close to your daughter Karen. What is this world becoming? We, as a country, are much to soft on crimes.

Fun running into a friend at the restaurant Kimmer!

I'm still having computer problems. Seems anything I touch is just going to heck. I did an upgrade to my phone and iPad yesterday and now half the stuff on both doesn't work. I have no internet connection and have tried everything I know to fix it. I HATE Apple upgrades/updates! I'm using DH's computer at the moment.

And you never figured out the reason why the washing machine overfilled Michelle?

Dunkirk is an excellent movie Linda. We really enjoyed it. We did end up getting "Churchill" for tonight. There's two Churchill movies out. "Churchill" and "Darkest Hour". I think "Darkest Hour" gets the better ratings but hopefully we'll like this one. We also picked up the first season of "The Crown". So I'm excited about that as well. I'd not heard of "American Made" before.Oh dear on more computer/tech problems. Good luck.

We went to a little place called "Constance Lake Lodge" for breakfast and we were both disappointed. I've been there before and usually order pancakes or waffles but I wasn't all that hungry today so ordered a bacon and egg sandwich. Jim ordered a Western. Meh. Ran a few errands and home now to clean the kitchen.

Got the kitchen cleaned and removed more 'winter' decorations. Soon it will be time to decorate for St. Patrick's Day.

    Decided to make
    Panko Crusted Pork Chops
for dinner tonight. I've got some spinach and some asparagus to use up although maybe I could do asparagus and ham crepes with a poached egg tomorrow for breakfast. May do some potatoes too. Jim picked up a couple of electrical switches at the hardware store and got those installed in the basement as well as changing a light bulb holder with a pull chain over the water conditioner. It's nice he knows how to do this stuff cuz I wouldn't have a clue and would have to hire someone.

Joce....how did Den make out with his drive home yesterday? My girlfriend's daughter works at CHEO and she had someone spin a 360 in front of her. She said the roads were horrific.

Good evening and hello to all! Hope you didn't get rained out today Michelle. Not familiar with the Churchill movie Janet. Will have to google. Lazy day here today. Woke up with a major sinus/allergy headache this morning. We've had such warm weather lately that things are starting to bloom already so thinking more on the allergy side. Plus my nose has run all day, lol! Fortunately, Cayce took Kaiden to his baseball game this morning. It was an early game and I just wasn't with it enough yet, lol! Had plans to go to PetSmart with Kaiden after his game for food for Chloe. And they always have the little kitties and puppies up for adoption on Saturdays which Kaiden likes to go see. But.................... Also had plans to go to the grocery store this afternoon. But................ Did manage to wash and fold a load of towels. My main accomplishment for the day, lol.

Having Cheese Burgers and Hot Dogs on the BBQ tonight. Will make some oven fries to go with. Easy enough and food friendly for Kaiden!

Hope all enjoy their Saturday evening.

Glad you got a lazy day Kimmer but ugh on the sinus headache. :( Wow on things starting to bloom there already. You should see our yard! We still have a ton of snow, no ground or grass showing but everything is frozen solid. It's treacherous to walk anywhere. No fluffy stuff remains. YUM big time on cheese burgers and Hot dogs on the BBQ.

I'm making Twice baked potatoes and spinach as sides to the porkchops.

Jim and I had a nice hot tub. Just got the fire going.
