Sunday Shopping

Good Morning!! and how are you today?

I'm in the mood for a little retail therapy ... A.K.A. online Shopping. Grocery shopping doesn't count.
Not too much happening here today, as a matter of fact nothing is happening here. Waiting for the rain which will come later so probably won't be going out as we don't want to get stuck in it. That's it. Wish there was more but there isn't.

    Have a great Sunday everyone!

I've been happy with JC Penny. I feel their clothes are nice, I can find age appropriate fits, the prices are good, nice styles, and they have an easy return policy ... just take it back to the store.

The easy return is really nice, Linda....takes the risk out of not trying on first etc..... In Canada I have more limitations with extra shipping and return costs..... I love to look though..... like a kid at Christmas looking through the catalogue.... making my wish list..:)

    Hello Linda and Ellie! :)

I like on-line shopping too, I'd rather try clothes on at home than in a store. I usually buy from Old Navy/Gap because that's where I get most of the kid's clothes. They include a return postage on your package so I don't have to pay for returns, and you get free shipping over $50. Same with Sears, which I do often as well, especially for winter boots and jackets etc...You can also return your stuff to the store if you just need a size exchange. Sears is also great for shoes because they have the extra wide sizes, my son and I have wide feet! I've never seen a JC Penny in Western Canada, sounds like it's similar to our Hudson's Bay stores or Sears. :)

Not much on the agenda today, besides trying to finish the kitchen. We finally finished putting up the filler pieces and cover panels, now it's the toe kicks, and or backsplash. Hopefully what is not finished today will be completed next weekend. The kid's start school this Thursday, and I need to make sure I have everything for their lunches. I'm going to make a big batch of cookies, granola bars, and muffins to freeze this week. Dinner is Better Than Shake N Bake Pork Chops, with a salad.

    Have a great day everyone!

Morning! Hi Linda :) I do a ton of online shopping but never for clothes, I guess I just don’t think about that I can return them so easily. Enjoy the rain, hopefully it doesn’t get too bad!

    Hi Ellie :) :)

Yes, J.C. Penny is very much like Sears Shona, we have both in our mall. Sounds like you are making progress on your kitchen and that you are almost done! Yum on your dinner, I’ve never had Shake and Bake so if I tried your recipe, I wouldn’t know the difference :P Bet it’s delicious though!

Doing some stuff around the house, the usual laundry, dishwasher full, etc. It looks like it’s about to pour down any minute, so softball practice tonight may be canceled tonight. Bri is at a friends house, they had a sleepover last night and Caiden is watching a movie, so all is quiet here! Pulled out some chicken Italian sausage but not sure what I’m going to do with it yet, maybe a zuppa toscana type thing? Wishing everyone a great day!

Hi Shona and Michelle. I just like the convenience of shopping on-line and if you shop at the same store you get to know how sizes and fits run and it gets easier. I also order every thing for my pets on-line and I love not having to lug stuff home.

I grew up on Shake and Bake ... aah, the good 'ole days.

Pulled out a NY strip for DH tonight to grill and will steam up French green beans and for me I pulled out meat and gravy from a chuck roast I cooked in the crock pot. Will add carrots, potatoes, and peas to it and turn it into a stew type meal and serve over a slice of bread.

I definitely order pet stuff online Linda. I buy the more I guess you'd call it "expensive" rat food and a 20lb. bag of it online is SO MUCH cheaper than buying at a pet store (if you can find it!) in small bags. Yum on your dinners!

I too buy the better stuff for my pets and specialty items not found in stores ... I order, it shows up on my doorstep, and the prices are much better. I order hay for the bunny and have it shipped from Nevada! Shipping is more than the hay so can't say I'm catching a break there but the quality is optimal and the best out there.

Hi Shona and ML2C and Linda....sorry I had to drive my Daughter out of town to her school.... traffic is horrible here.... that's what you get for a Sunday afternoon in the summer....
Shopping online is fun and convenient....maybe too convenient for me.. :))) We have a store here The Bay.... Department store and often they have no shipping fee specials...and deals of the day that sucker me in...lol

Hopefully everyone has enjoyed a quiet, peaceful Sunday. Your dinner plans all sound so good... I think it will be very casual toasted BLT's here.... and I bought some Miss Vicki chips.... danger danger danger.... no self control....

Sorry to hear you had to drive thru traffic Ellie ... uughhh, traffic is the worse. BLT sounds good to me especially with some fresh basil layered in. Yum!

Hi Janet. Sorry the cottage isn't all that but as you say it's only for one night. Reminds me of the Deluxe Cabin we stayed in on the first night when we drove down to FL to move into our new home. It was nothing more than a shed with a bed and bathroom. The pipes froze so we couldn't even use the bathroom. It was horrid! And we were traveling with a dog, a rabbit, and a bird.
