Good Morning! Fred is trying to make a late breakfast. Keep your fingers crossed.

Janet, love the balloons, cake and champagne pictures. Too cute. That cake won't go directly to my hips, either. Congrats to your Sens, by the way.

Marie, thanks for the good wishes as well. I got a big slurp in the face from Charlie Brown at 5:30. I told him to let me sleep...to no avail. Big lummox.

It is a gorgeous day in Florida. Perfect weather. 66 degrees this morning. Low 80's and sunny this afternoon. We might take the car out for a drive and enjoy the weather. I'll double slather on the sunscreen.

We haven't made any plans beyond breakfast and kitchen clean up. Fred did give me a kiss and remembered it was my birthday. Liv is working. She is in the dumps because Notre Dame lost their game.

Enjoy your breakfast Tina! :) Fingers are crossed. :) Glad you've got some lovely weather to enjoy and a drive sounds like an excellent idea. Sorry to hear Liv's team lost. Yes, Jim and I were both pretty happy with our Sens! :) 1 loss and then four straight wins. Am enjoying it. :)
    Decided on Lori's
    Picture Perfect Grilled Chicken
for dinner. That marinade is divine. I had bought some asparagus last week. If it's still in good condition I'll saute it up and maybe a baked potato? Or maybe a salad. Not sure on the side yet. Messy kitchen and a mountain of dishes to tend to.

Happy Birthday Tina! Wishing you a wonderful day!

    Hi, Marie:)

Janet, It is great the Sens are off to a really good start this year! Enjoy your chicken dinner tonight.

We are doing laundry today and since it is so cool, a pot roast should hit the spot for dinner. LOL aren't I the chatty one today?

    Wishing everyone a pleasant Sunday1

Good Morning and Happy Birthday Tina!!! Wow, there IS a lot of October birthdays in here! Hope Fred can dish out some good breakfast for you :)

Picture Perfect Grilled Chicken looks great Janet! Do you use the white wine Lea and Perrins for it? Yay on your Sens winning streak :) The Texans aren't doing as good as I'd hoped. 3 wins, 3 losses. Game is tomorrow night.

Hi Joce, pot roast sounds amazing for a nice cool day :)

I had absolutely no time to check in here yesterday. I had forgotten that Bri had a cheer thing in the morning! Then I had to rush home and put together food to take to the family themed dinner. It was 50's diner theme. We had burgers, with toppings including bacon, fried eggs and even chili :) onion rings, french fries, coleslaw, and for dessert ice cream sundaes! We all dressed in either 50's attire, or just wore costumes for Halloween :P It was a blast as usual. Next months them is breakfast for dinner and we are all going to wear pajamas! I have a couple of onesies to choose from lol. For dinner tonight I am going to give this a try
    http://paleomg.com/chicken-enchilada-bake/
along with some kind of veggie, probably green beans. Have a wonderful Sunday everyone!

Yum on Pot Roast Joce. I've got to put that on the short list as it sounds deelish and as you say, perfect for a day like today.
Hi Michelle! I have never been able to find the White Lea and Perrins so have always used the regular stuff and I love the recipe so much that I'll probably always continue to use it. :) I'll cross my fingers for your Texans tomorrow night. (Remind me) :) Everyone could probably use a good 'Cheer thing' in the morning. :) giggle. Fun, fun as always with your lovely family themed dinner. Breakfast for dinner will be excellent. Can't wait to hear what everyone makes. And the pyjamas are perfect. The Enchilada bake sounds good.
I've got the kitchen and the dishes cleaned up and Jim and I are reading over zillions of papers from the Lawyer in order to finally get our will all closed off. There's a lot of Lawyer mumbo jumbo talk.

I like what Frankieanne did by add a little white wine, but I NEVER have white wine on hand....I'm a red wine drinker :)

For the breakfast themed I originally was going to make omelets, since everyone else seemed to be making things I can't eat. I changed it to a big egg scramble with tons of veggies and meat in it, considering omelets are pretty big and with everything else being made it will be easier to fit on the plate :) Plus I"m no good at the "flip" lol!

    Good Afternoon, dears.

Michelle, do what Julia Child said to do, keep a bottle of white vermouth in your pantry. It adds a bit of wine flavor but it never goes bad. I think I pay 5.00 for a bottle and it will give me a bit of wine when I need it. I like red wine myself and would never buy a bottle of white.
Love your family theme once again. How fun! Thanks for the good wishes.

Joce, a pot roast dinner is always good. Fred is getting ready to swim, so believe me pot roast will be off the menu for a few more weeks until we get a stronger cool front through the area.

Janet, Fred did okay on breakfast. He made way too much for the two of us. 14 sausage links is a bit excessive. But it was okay, he had a very full tummy.

Now if the two of us could get this loveseat put together, it would be golden.

No dinner plans yet, waiting for Olivia to get off work and we will decide then.

An egg scramble would be great Michelle. Or you could turn it into one of those breakfast casseroles that are so popular around the holidays!
Glad you had a good birthday breakfast Tina. Giggle @ 14 sausage links. :) That would indeed be filling!
Lazy day here. Reading my book for the next book chat. My asparagus is in good shape so I'll saute that up and do baked potatoes too alongside the chicken. The temperatures really dipped and it's pretty cool out there.

Happy birthday Tina! 14 sausage links is quite the breakfast. LOL. Quite filling. Hope you have a nice day. Hi all.

We are back from church and going to go sit in the gazebo with a cup of coffee and ???? My brain is fuzzy so I will not take anything to work on until I wake up- ha ha.

    Hey all
    Busy day
My sister's school had a fund raising craft fair. Lots of tables and raffles. I didn't win anything but I spent a lot of money lol. Becca and her friends were volunteering and they ran the raffle table.
Then we went to the new target.
I had put beef stew in the crockpot it was yummy for dinner.
    Happy birthday Tina!

We wrapped the our canvas cover around two sides of the gazebo and it cut the wind - which has picked up a bit. Hot coffee was good but didn't really keep us toasty warm - ha ha. But it was fun. I wore my crocs, NOT the warmest shoes for a cool fall day. The trees are starting to turn across the field - last year the colors were spectacular! Every year is different.

We may have a trip to Springfield this week. Probably not much time for shopping etc. because it is to visit someone in the hospital. I do have to go fill a RX for antibiotics tomorrow morning so I can go to the dentist Tuesday. We have appts. for a regular checkup. I am curled up in my recliner, a cozy throw over my lap, laptop in hand. Joy, joy. I am ignoring the packages that have not been put away and the laundry that is on top of one chair waiting for me to hang up / put away. They are NOT part of a relaxing late afternoon post-gazebo time.

As soon as Wayne finishes feeding the horses, we will have to decide what to fix for dinner. It might be a snicky-snacky / cereal night since the potluck after church was one of the better ones - chili, potato soup, 2 casseroles, creamed corn, roast chicken, tuna pasta salad, 2 plates of deviled eggs, pea-salad. And we are both rather full.

We hear 3 different owls last night, one esp. was close by. I don't mind the little ones but those big, nasty great horned owls can go away. They are on the protected species list in MO. I have never seen one, except maybe one night when we almost hit a ginormous owl with the truck as it flew slow motion in front of us.

I will see you all later. Have a good day.

Sounds like you had a fun day Laurie. Yum on your beef stew.
We got that same cold north wind Karen! Jim did a bit of wood chopping this afternoon. I went out to put some chopped up squash out on the lawn for the deer but hurried back inside. Harvested the lettuce as it's supposed to go to 0 Degrees tonight. I have a ton. Salads all week! :) I LOVE crocs. Hope the person in hospital is okay. Ignore that laundry and the packages. Time to snuggle under a cozy throw is precious. :) Like "Snicky Snacky". That's quite the Potluck feast alright! Sooooo envious that you have three types of owls. We have one...the Barred Owl. I saw a great horned owl once. They're magnificent. If you want them to go away you tell them to fly to my yard please. :) What are the other two types you get?
Spent too much time in the Hot Tub and didn't get the chicken on the grill 'til almost 7. :( Late dinner this evening but it'll be yummy. Fire going in the fireplace. All is right with the world. Sleep sweet all!

If I could I would ship all the great horned owls you want up that way. One swooped down into a yard in a nearby town and took out the family dog. I have heard different owls and end up Googling animal sounds to find out which owls they were.....not being an expert in bird sounds. LOL. There are screech owls and barn owls around. ?? barred owls ??

I am watching Alaska The Last Frontier. I'm sure lots of the scenarios are scripted but it is interesting. Mountain men is also cool, and I'm sure is also scripted. I think it is the self reliance and living on what is available in nature that appeals. No, I don't ever want to try that lifestyle, maybe thirty years ago!!!

We had popcorn for supper. It was definitely a snicky snacky meal time. Homer is asleep on his dog bed, A.C. is dozing on the couch, and Mel is beside me making sure to jostle my arm every time I start to type. LOL.

Have a nice evening. See you tomorrow.
