Good Morning everyone! I'm nearing home! Am in North Bay at the moment. Stayed overnight with an old college chum of Jim's that we haven't seen for 25 years! Picked right up as if we'd just seen him last week. So fun! He and Jim are out for a kayak at the moment and then we'll be doing the last leg. I miss my kitchen! And my squirrels and birds.....:)
I've been trying to skim when I had Internet. Heard the strike was over for you guys Michelle! Hurray!
I'm going to have so much mowing and weeding to do when I get back to Ottawa! Ai yi yi!
Had to giggle a little at Molly eating soap yesterday Tina. :) Hope she feels better and I hope you're doing okay as well as it sounded like you were having some extra troubles. :( Missed the part about the cruise (How fun!) so will have to read back. Saw on FB this morning that Laura is in England! Hope she posts lots of pictures!
LOVED the pictures of the Wild Hogs you posted Karen. I've never seen one in person before. (LOL Tina at your girlfriend decorating the Hog's head with twinkly lights! Too funny!)
We had a really great trip. Met up with a lot of friends and relatives that we hadn't seen in ages. Did the heart good.
No clue what we'll do for dinner this evening. I'm going to have to do a major grocery shop tomorrow as the fridge is BARE!
Has Marie been in at all? Hope she's doing okay.

Haven't had a chance to catch up! There has been a lot going on...I'm so tired of waking up early every single day:) We went to Sac yesterday morning, left at 5:10 am..to try to beat the heat..it's been in the 100's in the valley and a few day up here..Redding has seen temps of 112-114F..it looks like it could rain today..they are calling for a slight chance of thunderstorms..we don't need that as dry as everything is//Rick just got back from a job up here so now it's Champagne brunch time..just as soon as he get through doing whatever it is he does in the garage..probably getting ready for tomorrow's job.

Dinner will be chicken & dumplings..good old comfort food:)

How is your car doing and were you able to fit everything you wanted in it? doing laundry today and we are having pork chops for dinner tonight. I will be making breakfast for lunch in a minute and we are having poached eggs, bacon and toast.

Back from church and fell asleep for a midafternoon nap. Kittens are rampaging in the LR. I went to the sun room to catch up on GR. We will leave in a bit to take the Gator to check for damage from the hogs. Wild hogs are extremely dangerous and destructive, orders are shoot on sight. We are now taking at least one weapon with us when out and about because they will attack you if you get too close. Somehow i don't think my little .22 will do much good against one - LOL!

This morning Wayne had to retrieve his sermon from his computer when Trouble ran across the keys. His cursor disappeared. He couldn't get it back. Had to call daughter and she took him thru the keystrokes to retrieve it.

Hear him up and about so must go change clothes, get a drink, and get going. Have a great afternoon.

The other night a bear attacked a woman and her dog here in Magalia..they were up higher than us..what I don't understand, the woman and her dog were inside their house, the dog was barking like crazy at something outside, she let her dog out and then proceeded to go outside as well! I haven't heard how bad the dog was injured, she had some scratches on her shoulder and front of her body..I thought she would have been a lot worse..I'm glad she's ok..hope her dog is as well. I hope next time she and her dog just stay inside their house!
