Sunny Sunday!

    Good Afternoon Everyone!
It is just after noon here so I figured I would start a thread.

Janet, So if your Mom was the one to make her own decision to go back to Rainy River. Does that mean b/c she isn't in the hospital now she isn't as high on the priority list for the place she would be living in? Just wondering? How is she getting around at home? Can she walk by herself or does she need a walker for that? Sorry for all the questions just wondering how she is making out. I hope you enjoyed your dinner at your Aunt Irene's last night.
What are you and DH up to today, Linda?
How did you survive yesterday, Michelle? Good luck with your bake sale and car wash today.

We are doing laundry today and not much else is happening here. We are having pork chops for dinner.

    Wishing everyone a pleasant Sunday!

Good Afternoon All. It's Sunday and one more day till the total solar eclipse. I'm curious what it will look like here. Will it be bright and sunny and then look like it's overcast or will the day be overcast to begin with ... time will tell.

Almost cleaned up all the stones. I thought the ant nest I disturbed yesterday would have "moved on", especially after it rain, but they didn't so I had to spray and will wait another day to clean up the last little bit.
Will have lasagna tonight for dinner with a salad, no if, ands, or buts about it. I paid too much $$ to let it go to waste.
Other than this just a normal relaxing day here.
I need to order some pet supplies. Bella needs a new bed, hers is wearing out. She loves sleeping in a dog crate bed so I'll get her a new one so it's soft and fluffy. I'll order LD some new toys too and toss out ones that have seen better days.

    What's everyone else up to?

Hi, Linda. I deleted the thread. It should be a sunny day and then around noon, it will gradually change it will go dark the whole process takes about an hour and a half. I am not sure if you will be getting the whole effect of it? They say places like Wyoming and places out West will get it best. I always seem to have to spray when I discover an ants nest like that. I had a bag of soil down only for a couple of days and then when I went to move it the over the other day there was an ants nest eggs and all YUCK! Lol about finally having the lasagna:) I bet Bella will love her new soft bed when she gets it.

How dark? Like night time dark? I guess I'll see what happens tomorrow when it happens, right.
I'm glad the ants were normal ants and not fire ants. I hate spraying them but I had to.
The lasagna was delicious! and just enough. There was even a little for LD to have a taste.

Back from church. Wayne wanted to mow but I convinced him that his experience with heat problems really did not portend too well for mowing in the heat. He reluctantly went along with the suggestion. Tried to take a nap but couldn't go to sleep.should not have had that energy drink!

It is supposed to be hot and humid today. It has a good start.

Those were persistent ants for sure, Linda. We used to battle fire ants in GA. Nothing is quite as exhilarating as having your horse step on a fire ant nest and freak out. Fortunately I never had that experience. Hope Bella enjoys her new bed.

Joce, we should get only a partial eclipse and no way am I driving to Rolla for a better view. Ha ha! The traffic is already getting heavy.

Wayne just took Fritz for a walk. Fritz has sniffed under the curio cabinet since we got home so I guess another mouse has wondered inside. The little dog is persistent.....the mouse 🐭 Is probably long gone from the cabinet.

Hi to all. Hope your mother is doing well, Janet.

We have fire ants here too but they haven't been a problem. I see the mounds but none here in the yard around the house.
Good idea that Wayne listened and decided to let the grass cutting wait till it's cooler.
It showered here, just enough to make everything wet and that's fine with me, at least I don't have to water the plants.
Think I'll change into my "evening wear" of comfy pajamas and relax watching some mindless tv.

Good idea. We are going to close up chickens and feed horses, then relax. See you later.
