Tenderized Tuesday

    Good Morning Everybody!
Just a quick shout out. (JOCE? HOPE YOU'RE DOING OKAY!)
I'm going in to town today and tomorrow to help my Girlfriend at her flower shop.:) Quite looking forward to it. Change of scenary and some female companionship. :) LOLOLOL. Jim got the rest of the pond shovelled off and says it looks like glass so skating is on the docket for him today.
I made a batch of Meatball soup up yesterday for dinner this evening along with a nice loaf of w/w baguette. (Sending a virtual bowl your way Michelle....and I added in another parm rind as per your great suggestion. Love it!)
Have received two Christmas cards so far. Love when they start to pile in. :)
We rented a movie from Redbox yesterday afternoon and watched it last night. It was horrible. LOLOLOL. It was called "Happy Christmas". Jim isn't familiar with the Redbox machine and told me you can't read any details of the movies (WRONG) :) I'll return it today and see what else I can find. LOLOL. Yep, it was that bad.
Good for you getting the tree done Karen.
Best go get dressed for work. Hi Ho Hi Ho!
Have a great day everyone. See you this evening.

Morning Janet! I'm sure you are going to have blast working at the flower shop! Yum, I think I can smell the meatball soup from here :) The parmesan rind just adds something extra special to the soup. Have not received any Christmas cards yet, but I haven't checked the mail in a couple days either. Ugh, sorry on the horrible movie. Hate when that happens!

It's cold this morning and Caiden and I are snuggled up under a blanket together. Drinking my first cup of coffee and plan on having a few more :) I need to get a grocery list planned and maybe get to the store this afternoon. Tonight after dinner we are going to the high school basketball game, Briauna is doing a dance at half time with a bunch of other girls her age. Beef stew for dinner tonight, going to use some of my pretty tri-colored carrots :) Hope everyone has a great day!

    Good morning, Janet.

Have a wonderful day at the flower shop. It sounds like a fun idea.

I could no more arrange flowers artistically than fly to the moon, but I like having plants around. My cat-free sun room holds all plants, free an safe from little kitty paws.

I hope you find a better movie. I haven't heard of Happy Christmas but it sounds like an English (UK) title. Yes, I agree on wanting to read the reviews before checking it out.
I tend to go for comedies, hoping there are no torture / brutality / beat-em-up / slasher type stuff, but even some of them are too gross for me to tolerate.

We have a new channel on digital TV - Cozi Channel. It carries some of the tamer of the older westerns (Hopalong Cassady, Maverick, Lone Ranger, Roy Rogers, etc.) and some family comedies. I love the old Lone Ranger episodes, and have become addicted to Hopalong -- so funny when he sneaks up on the bad guys while wearing jingling spurs, and his hat never comes off or his clothes get dirty, even in the fight scenes.

Joce, thinking of you and hoping all is going well. Keep us posted.

I have to type up the fire department election ads for the local paper(s) and drop them off. Part of the election process is to be available for people to sign up to run for the board. I don't expect a huge stampede of applicants, last time we had one sign up and had to pay for an election to elect the second. One person has agreed to run so far, we are crossing fingers and toes for at least one more candidate. I have to spend some time at the Fire Dept so people can sign up.. Last time, Wayne came with and we sat and did nothing for two hours a night. Such fun.

Homer an A.C. are staring through the door. Home is allowed inside the sun room. A.C. is hopeful. Delusional, but hopeful.

Have a wonderful day. See you later.

Tina - LOVE the kitty avatar.

Our kitties love the tree - they are not happy we have it in another room where they can't climb.

    Good morning, friends.

It is chilly and cloudy. They keep promising us sun but it has yet to peek through the cloud cover. I love the cool. It was great sleeping in, snuggle with the dog weather.

I have not heard from the child, so I don't know if the party was fun. She is off to Chumlee's today with friends for their weekly wing fix.

Janet, I'm sure your fingers will be sore this evening from the bough tying or flower prep. Better than preppring all those roses at Valentine's day, I'm sure. How cool that Jim has his own skating rink. Meatball soup, yum.

Michelle, glad you get some cuddle time with Caiden. Beef stew with pretty carrots...yum. Stew is good food. Yeah for Bri and her halftime performance. Too cool.

Karen, A.C. looking longingly in the sun room is a funny image. I hear you on having a room that is neat and comfy making your world whole. That would be my bedroom. As long as I get the clothes put away, keep the clutter off my vanity and the bed made, it is a good start to the day. Good luck on the elections, I hope you have more applicants to make it worth your time.

We are having fried cabbage with bacon and onion. Smoked sausage skewers with peppers and cherry tomatoes.

Back to cookie baking today. Ginger crinkles! (my favorite).

Karen, since we are equally dog and cat lovers, it if only fair the kitty is represented in the tree. LOL If I get my cards done between Christmas and New Year's I consider it a successful year. Fred wants cards to all his relatives, most I've never met, and he won't write a word.

Heard from Den. Joce is in a lot of pain, but the surgery went well.

Love the new ODD avatar Tina..now if that kitty was a fluffly black & white tuxedo, it would look like Bribie in the middle of our tree:)

Just finished making Moms Peanut Butter Cookies..they are so good;) We're supposed to be getting a big storm Weds night into Thurs.40-60 MPH winds..they are saying most certainly there will be power outages and trees falling..I cannot stand when the wind blows so hard when it's raining..scary living under these big pines:( ..bet we won't sleep well Weds night!

    Dinner....maybe some sort of casserole..

I'll have to check back here in a bit and try to catch up..we're getting everything put away outside so it doesn't blow away!

Joce, thinking of you dear xoxox

    Hello all,
Gross rainy day today. Whenever we go to Jamaica one of there resteraunts have the best pumpkin soup. The last few times they had taken it off the menu. So good even frank likes it which is strange because he isn't a big pumpkin fan. I tried to get the recipe but was unsuccessful. Then someone on a Sandals fan page had the recipe and she provided it. Long story short that's what's for dinner tonight. With pretzel bread.

Have fun at the Basketball Game Michelle and Go Bri Go for her dance number. :) Yum on your stew. Good for a cool day.
Hope you do get a stampede of applicants for the Fire Dept. positions Karen. :)
Lucky Liv with the weekly wing fix. I could sure go for that once a week. :) My fingers aren't sore really from working at the Flower Shop today but I am still sticky even though I washed my hands numerous times with that scrubby soap stuff. The sap just melds to a persons skin. I do smell good though. :) Jim got out for a skate this morning which was good as it warmed up this afternoon and the pond had a big puddle on it later on. Was so pleased to hear Joce came through the surgery well. I've been thinking about her all day. So nice of Den to send a note! It will be a disruption for them too as it's about an hour and a bit drive from where they live to where Joce is in Hospital.
Yum on the Peanut butter cookies Marie. Toss a couple over please. We're supposed to get a big storm as well Marie. Tomorrow and the next day. Ai yi yi on the trees falling where you are! Do you have a basement you could sleep in that night?
Yummers on the pumpkin soup Laurie. Do share the recipe please!
Had a lot of fun today. Picked up a new movie to watch tonight "The Hundred Food Journey". Was it you that has seen it already Tina? I've been wanting to see it for months.
