    Good Morning Everyone.
It's cloudy enough here this morning that the sun is blocked and I honestly hope it stays that way.

No plans in particular and no clue what to make for dinner. Maybe it's time for a rotisserie chicken from Whole Foods.

Happy to hear Wayne's cardio appointment went well Karen. It's so frustrating though to have to sit outside and wait. Glad the thunderstorm waited. I hope all goes well at the vet today with the kids. #31 and still counting is a lot of raccoons.

I'm now debating if I'm taking the popcorn maker I bought back to the store and buying the one from Lowe's Kimmer. It looks nice! Yum on dinner, especially the parmesan roasted potatoes.

I'm glad the pizzas were delicious enough to eat Janet even though they didn't look the prettiest. Sangria is an ideal accompaniment. I didn't even think to 'Google' Carrabba's recipe, I thought to myself "how hard can it be" … I'll have to try again. I think too my garlic is funny. It's bitter and I'm noticing the last few things I've made calling for fresh garlic have been off. This is the Carrabba's sauce I was trying to recreate. http://carrabbasathome.blogspot.com/2016/01/linguine-positano.html
Butter extract is great. I always add a little to pound cakes or baked recipes rich in butter for a more pronounced buttery flavor.

    Good afternoon.

We have cloudy skies here, also. It is warm and humid.

Mel and Mauser have a bacterial infection (can't remember the name of the bug!) They are contagious. They are on meds. Mauser had a fever, Mel didn't. They don't act sick. We were serenaded all the way to the vet's office. I withheld food last night so they didn't have digestive upsets from either end on the drive. We even carried paper towels and pet cleaner spray just in the event we ha to stop the car and clean carriers. Ugh! The vet's office was crowded and social distancing was next to impossible, though every one tried.

I have to be cautious when caring for daughter's cat so as not to transfer it. We plan on going out to eat at Crow Creek after feeding her. Taco salad here I come.

Fritz has taught his visitor some bad tricks -- like dive bombing poor little Mauser so she squalls and hisses. When we left, dogs were told to go in their crates. Visitor dog went in as requested but made a little "I am not happy with this" noise and bumped my hand with this nose. He was "yelled at" and any future displays will be dealt with immediately. He knows better to disobey but there is a streak of stubbornness that appears sometimes. I would neuter him if he were mine, but she has this idea of breeding him. He has papers and is a valuable dog. I prefer my mutts. Less diva / aristocracy issues. LOL!

Internet is super bad. Company claims it can't get permits for construction to fix due to Corona. I say "Bull!" This has been going on long before Corona. Very annoying.

Daughter said they are limited where they can go in Colorado because they had a breakout of more COVID-19 and tourist places were closed or limited. Also some rioting broke out downtown in the city where they are. Life goes on.

    Otherwise all is well.

Hi Everyone! Busy day on my end! Made potato salad and prepped Hot Legs first thing and made egg salad sandwiches. Jim headed off to his family cottage to visit with his Dad, two brothers and a SIL. I'm good to stay home. LOL. Packed up a cooler for him with his lunch and tonight's dinner and then groceries he's bringing to feed the gang the next two nights.

My high school friend Tammy is in town to visit her daughter so she spent the day with me today while her daughter was working. I served Sliders and potato salad for lunch. We had a Hot Tub and enjoyed some Sangria. it was lovely to see her.

It's raining!!! Hurray! We've had about a half hour's worth so far which is awesome because not only do we need it big time but it saves me having to water Jim's grass seed and new apple trees tonight. :)

Weird on your garlic being off Linda.

I'm so sorry to hear Mel and Mauser have an infection Karen. Do keep us tuned to how they make out. They antibiotics should make them right as rain asap though I would think. Oh yum on taco salad. I was actually thinking of making that myself soon. Ugh on Internet troubles. :(

Continuing rain and lots of thunder. Keep it coming. Keep it coming!!!!

Good afternoon and hello to all. I ordered the popper Linda! I'm so excited. Thanks again for finding that! I wouldn't have thought to look anymore. I always liked to pop my corn in butter flavored coconut oil so will have to get some. And some popcorn, lol! All I have is micro.

Sorry to hear Mel and Mauser have a bacterial infection Karen. But glad it's something that can be fixed! Funny how dogs can be just as stubborn as humans sometimes. Hope your daughter manages to have a good time in Colorado. This rioting we have across the country needs to stop. Enough is Enough!

Going to Thirsty Marlin for dinner tonight. We've been going on Thursdays again. It's one of our favorite places. Can't sit at the bar as of the other day but that's ok. We've observed them being very cautious so we feel relatively comfortable. The staff wear masks and always disinfect the tables and even the chairs when people leave. They don't use disposable menus, as it's been recommended, but once you are done with your plastic covered menu it's taken to an area and disinfected. They have indoor, outdoor patio and then an outdoor covered bar area for seating, which has tables as well as the bar. We have always gone to the outdoor covered bar. The tables have always been far enough apart to not be a problem anyway.

Hope all enjoy the rest of this day and of course, Sleep Sweet All...............as always.............

Ah, there you are Janet! How nice visiting with your friend. Will you see her again before she leaves? Nice on getting some "me" time on your own for a couple days! Linda I meant to mention the garlic a few minutes ago. Where do you buy yours? I get mine at Publix with all my other groceries. We have noticed the same kind of thing. Last week we got up one morning and noticed a profound, amost rotten like, garlic smell and couldn't figure out where it was coming from. I keep mine in a wooden bowl that I have on the kitchen counter along with my tomatoes. Didn't think about checking what I thought was my fresh garlic because this was like an old, yucky smell. Was looking everywhere else. Thought maybe a clove had fallen behind something on the counter or behind the trash can and had been there awhile. But low and behold...........there it was in the bowl. Had to toss all that I had and I had just bought it like a few days before. Garlic doesn't last long in my house as I use it almost daily. And hubs then reminded me of a dish I had made and I complained that it wasn't as good as usual and there was some "twang" that I couldn't put my finger on. Hmmmmmm

SP Kimmer! :) No, I won't see my girlfriend again for quite a while. She had hoped to go out to Rainy River in Sept. for the Walleye Fishing Tournament and stay with us but that'll be cancelled for sure so goodness knows when I'll next see her. Weird, weird on the garlic.
