Good Morning everyone! Good afternoon Don!
I have a most lovely day ahead and I just finished booking Jim's and my apartment in Taipei! Benjamin went to check the building out yesterday morning and says it looks great. It's small but functional and in a great location. So pleased to have it all settled.
After breakfast Jim and I are heading over to visit friends and then heading down town for lunch at
    http://www.ahora.ca/
and then to the National Art Gallery to see the Alex Colville Exhibit. He's a Canadian painter that I've loved ever since I was a teen. :)
Have prepped a Potato salad as a side for dinner this evening and plan to pick up some steaks to BBQ on the way home. That's the plan at this point anyway. :)
LOL @ Cotton candy grapes Laurie. I've never heard of those. Shall keep a look out.
How's Caiden this morning Michelle? Glad to hear he got through all that fine.
I'll check out your Paella recipe Don thanks!
    Wishing everyone a Grand Day!

I never heard of cotton candy grapes, either, Janet. They sound intriguing. Congrats on finding an apt. to rent while you are visiting.

Peace and quiet reigns this morning. Kittens are occupied birdwatching / sleeping. Mel is bathing - got to clean every hair! A.C. is, for a change, dozing and out of trouble. Not sure how long it will last. He is usually on the prowl looking for trouble and is permanently on the “Do Not Pet” list.

Tina, I did go with the Schwanns Shrimp and Broccoli. ?? tonight since we have a funeral to go to this afternoon. Love your idea of flash cards to learn the capitols. You should probably publish a set!

Michelle, when Caiden gets his permanent teeth, he can opt for caps if need be. I have a lot of caps in my back teeth - LOL! But I still have them and that is the silver lining.

The kitty in my avatar is Mauser when she was little - the gray turned to black as she grew older.

Michelle B., I love orange kitties. My favorite color. Are these toms? If they are “singing” they probably are. I would be figuring how to feed / capture / them, but if they are feral that would probably not be wise. Aargh! The person whose funeral we are going to had 2 mama cats and 11 kittens - her son was going to “take care of them” and I really am afraid he just dumped them off in the woods somewhere - he is NOT my favorite person and I detest people who do that.

Our two kittens are part of that group. They are the lucky ones. At the moment they have turned into climbing demons and I had to coax them down from the grandfather clock and con them into playing with my miniature bullwhip (it was a joke gift but entertains them just great).

Hi to everyone. Have a good day.

I am glad all your plane tickets and apartment are paid for your trip to Taiwan, Janet. How long are you staying for this time? Also pleased Ben is getting settled into his new job. Enjoy your outing today and have fun.

Pleased to hear you are having a quiet morning without any cat mischief going on, Karen.

Michelle, I find it kind of weird about them giving Caiden metal caps over his cavities. The dentists don't do that here to kids...that I know of anyways. I hope Caiden feels better today and make sure you give him lots of fiber after being given codeine or he may run into trouble.

Getting a few things ready for Den's trip to North Bay tomorrow. Our nephew is getting married on Saturday and Den comes from a very large family. I a guessing there will be approximately 400 people there. I was hoping I would be able to go but I don't think it would be wise at the moment. So Den has two queen size beds to choose from at the Hampton Inn. He will be back sometime Sunday afternoon. I am going to make some muffins to bring and I will make him some sandwiches and nibbles in the morning to bring as well. I don't have a clue what we are having for dinner yet?

    Wishing everyone a great day.

Good morning all:) Good afternoon Don:)

Janet, what a lovely day you both have planned! So cool you have your apartment all booked and waiting for your arrival:) I can't imagine how excited you both must be!

Karen, I too, detest people who are cruel and don't care about animals..I'm afraid I'd be asking him exactly what he did with the mama cat and her kittens and then go get them and do what's right. If people would just spay/neuter cats, feral or otherwise..we have a non profit group called "TopCats" who trap ferals, get vacs, spay or neuter, then release them where they were trapped..they have volunteers who feed them 2 times a day as well..I was doing that when I worked in Paradise...if the cats are not wild and she thinks they could be someones pet, they have people all over town who foster them until they find a good home..that's where we got Lennon..he was found underneath a porch with his brothers & sisters...he has to be the sweetest cat I have ever seen:) The other 2, not so much!
I'm so sorry about his mother passing.
That's too funny you have to coax your kittys down from your grandfather clock! What climbers they must be! LOL on the mini bullwhip!!!!

Michelle, so glad to hear Caiden did so well at the dentist. How is he feeling this morning..poor little guy..at least everything is now taken care of....

Oh gosh..don't have a clue what to have for dinner..as usual:)

    Wishing everyone a lovely day..

SP Joce:) Wow on 400 people at the wedding! Too bad you're not up to going, but I also think it will be better for you to be in the comfort of your own home. That is so nice to pack Den some snacks..I'm always doing that as well..it's so good to have something to nibble on when you're taking a trip:)
Guess we're both members of the "I don't have a clue what's for dinner" club! Have a lovely day dear:)

    Hello!
I decided to let the tandoori chicken marinade overnight. By the time I got to it yesterday it would have only marinated for 6 hours. Hopefully the extra time makes it super delicious tonight!
Cotton Candy grapes, oh my, now I have heard it all! lol ;) Sounds like you have a wonderful day planned Janet!! :) enjoy!
Wow, 400 people at a wedding! I'm sorry you can't go Joce :( Are you having a bad flare up still? I hope you rest up and feel better very soon!
What a cute kitty in your avatar Karen! We had a cat that looked just like that! Her name was Bagheera, from the jungle book :)
Hi Marie! We have programs that do similar catch and release here for spay and neutering. There are so many feral cats here in Alberta, about 6 times higher than dogs and for some reason has the highest amount in Canada. The shelters and SPCA's give the older ones away for free since there is too many. I guess Farmers like to get mouser's but never spay or neuter, left roaming outside they do their thing.
I've got cleaning, laundry and dog walking to do. I thought I'd have more time when the kids went to school, but it seems I have less time since I have to go get them by 3pm- I need to prioritize my day! lol ;) The computer keeps calling me and time flies by!
    Have a wonderful day!!!

Morning! Glad you got your apt. situation figured out for Taipei Janet! Oh yummy, Mexican food! Have fun at the art gallery!

Lol Karen, sounds like you had a little bit of peace and quiet in your house :) Awww..Mauser is a cutie pie!

Joce, thanks for the tip on the fiber, I didn't even think of that! I'll have him eat a cereal bar when he gets home for a snack. It's probably a good idea that you don't go to the wedding...you don't want to out do yourself!

    Hi Marie!

I can't wait to hear how the tandoori chicken turns out Shona! Good luck getting all of you stuff done today.

Went grocery shopping and stopped and got Caiden a new lunch kit. For one thing we couldn't find his this morning and another is that I got him a portable soup holder thing and it wouldn't fit in his lunch kit. Now I am just waiting on Michael to wake up so we can go to they gym together. I'm surprised he even wants to go while he's working nights. Dinner tonight is ??? Since I am just cooking for myself tonight (the kids can have chicken nuggets lol) it will probably be something meatless. I picked up an eggplant at the FM the other day, so something using that? Anyway, hope everyone's day is going well!

Joce, too bad you are not up to going to the wedding, but it is probably best you stay home and rest. LOL on Den and all the sleeping space. I had a cap on my front tooth when I was young, but it would not stay...it was ceramic, not metal. Someday maybe, but for now I just don't worry about it. I have gold crowns in the back where my teeth were cracking badly. The dentist charges the same for gold or ceramic, bec. the gold lasts longer and he feels it is better than having to replace the ceramic ones all the time.

Marie, you and I are kindred spirits when it comes to critters. I am so glad we got these two holy terrors...at least they will have a good home! Farmers around here lose cats to coyotes and owls, it is a survival of the fittest. We have not lost any full grown ones to predators but two kittens disappeared, not sure if they were run off by one of the big cats or a predator got them. If the coyotes were close, they all curled up on the porch rail all night! Six at one time! A ?? Brown recluse probably killed Butterscotch, but he was 19 years old and having heart issues, also. The two rottens will he gradually acclimated to outdoor life before completely transitioned. If they had a mama cat they would have okay in the barn from the start.

Shona, the kitty is Mauser, only she went from gray to dark, dark, black! I have thought about fostering kittens but would end up keeping them....ha ha.

Hi, Michelle. Good luck getting back int school time routine!

Good evening, Don.you did sound busy today! Hope tomorrow is quieter.

Karen, yes, I feel the same way..we seem to be a lot alike when it comes to critters:) Animals have a special place in my heart..my parents are the same way..probably where I got my love for animals...LOL..I have also thought about fostering cats, but we have a small place and truthfully, these three are all I can handle at the moment..that snotty little Siamese Tippi is a handful!

Hi Michelle:) Eggplant parm is always good..that's about as far my eggplant expertise goes .lol

Don, what a busy day! You'll be able to sleep well tonight!

Shona, wouldn't it be great if everyone realized how important is is to spay/neuter....wow on your feral population..you live in the country, correct? Oh well, there's only so much I/we can do..that helps me when I start to get the way I get when animals are being mistreated. I can't help them all..wish I could.

Still don't know what to make for dinner! I still need to go grocery shopping:( I think I'll go at 7 am tomorrow before Rick leaves for work..we're getting another GD delivery tomorrow morning as well..so if I time it right, I can be lazy today:-D haha

    Hello everyone
Full day of work and driving lol. Tonight's dinner was pasta with meatballs.
I overslept this morning and woke up at 4:50am when I meet the girls to run at 5am. I made it believe it or not!! I texted and asked them to wait 5 minutes. Got there by 5:05.
No time to stretch and me legs are not so happy with me lol
I'm not a cat person but I would hate to see them suffer.
