    Good Morning Everyone.

It's beautiful day here is SWFL ... Cool morning with lots of sunshine. Made toasted banana, pecan, and poppy seed bread and now just need a cup of cold brew coffee.
The soup I made yesterday in the crockpot came out soooo good. And what I loved most about it was just putting everything in the crock and letting it cook all day. It will be today's lunch and probably tomorrow's too.

Did you ever find out what happened across the street Janet?

Good Morning Linda! Just saw your Banana Bread post. It's beautiful!!!! Wow! Nice that you were so pleased with your home made soup. It sounds very fulfilling. No, it's doubtful we'll hear what happened across the street. It's not like in a city where everyone is right across from each other and can see all the action. Their property is 25 acres I think and we just happened to see the police cars enter and exit their gates. You can't see the house as it's set further back on the property.

I have my book chat at the Library today. Want to finish the Christmas decorating inside and start my Christmas cards. Not sure what I am going to make for dinner this evening. It rained a lot overnight.

    Wishing everyone a great day.

Can you call the police station and inquire Janet? I'd want to know incase there is anything to be aware of.
Enjoy the book chat and hope you finish decorating today. I started my cards this morning. I need to get a move on with mailing them. I also need to figure out what to get a girlfriend too (the one person I do exchange with). It has to be shipped. I'm just stumped this year what to get her. Before you know it, it'll be the week of Christmas.
I should make fish for dinner. Haven't had it in awhile so it's time. I just haven't been in the mood for it.

Good Morning! I bookmarked your banana bread recipe Linda, it looks SO good as well as the soup!

Enjoy your book chat today Janet, and your decorating!

Just got the kids off to school and now I plan on sitting down and trying to plan my meals out for the rest of the week. I did it a couple weeks ago and LOVED knowing what I was making every night instead of wondering half the day lol. We are meeting with the architect today FINALLY! Yay! Hopefully now we can sit down with him and let him know exactly what we want instead of trying to do it through email.

After the kids get home from school we will have an early dinner then go get our Christmas tree. I'm super excited to get it up :) Briauna has been asking for chicken fried rice so that's what I'm making. I only have a small amount of leftover grilled chicken from the other night, so I also pulled out some pork chops and I'll cook those up, chop and add them in as well. Wishing everyone a wonderful day!!

I don't think the Police would tell us anything due to privacy sakes Linda and I would never do that anyway. I'm not at all concerned that something there will spill over. Good luck trying to think of a gift for your girlfriend. It's hard when you feel pressure. Makes it trickier. It's best if you just 'happen' across something. :)

I find it's SO much easier making a menu ahead of time too Michelle. I hate feeling under the gun to pull something out of a hat. How exciting you are meeting with the Architect today!!! Have a blast! What a fun day! That and then going to get a Christmas tree! Your dinner sounds yummy.

I too like meal planning Michelle but somehow even with a meal plan I don't follow it. Arrgh. So exciting to be meeting with the architect! Any plans to "sound proof" your master bedroom so Michael can sleep when he is working nights :) Wouldn't that be cool. Fried rice sounds great!

I know she doesn't have a coffee pot Janet ... her expensive one broke and she never replaced it. So I'm thinking a nice automatic coffee pot. I like mine a lot and am looking for it or it's spin off from a site I can ship from. I like mine because too you can control the brew strength. It's a Black and Decker and I like their products so hoping she will too.

Got my cards addressed, ran out and got Christmas stamps, and need to pack two small boxes with soaps and mail them tomorrow. I'm actually accomplishing something today.

Linda and Michelle, I am the worlds worse when it comes to meal planning in advance. I need to plan a Christmas Day menu....probably a sliced Kentucky Wonder spiral ham....they are super good. Sides? Maybe a midwestern basic theme, mashed taters, carrots, ??? Hi Janet, good luck on your cards.

Wayne is running errands and picking up my prescriptions. He should be back in a couple of hours.

It is 36F outside, will be worse Thursday and Friday. Snow flurries are expected Friday morning. Otherwise, nothing new or exciting is happening here. I woke up at 4:45 this morning so am not very alert. Not really very exciting, ha ha!

The drier just stopped so I best get moving. Have to put clothes away before we leave to pick up GS this afternoon. Also need to pin my hubby down when to go shopping in Springfield. He will growl that he has to work on whatever, or his buddy is coming over to work, but We will pinpoint a day somehow. Maybe we will go shopping in Columbia since he has a Dr appt there later this month. Hoping they have a TJ Maxx store there!

A coffee maker is a good idea and Black & Decker is a good brand alright Linda.

I actually have a problem with spiral hams Karen. LOL. I hate that the slices are cut so thin! I want to cut slices on my own and I certainly want them thicker than they come in the Spiral hams. I just don't get it. I never even heard about Spiral Hams until a couple of years ago. Have they been around forever? I do love a nice Roast Ham dinner with mashed potatoes and ham gravy. We're actually warmer than you are today. 8C/46F! It's been raining off and on and will continue like that for the rest of the day. Ugh at waking up at 4:45.

Joce? Haven't seen you for awhile? Hope everything's okay. Laurie nice to see you last night. Kimmer, you haven't been here for a bit either! Marie!!!!! Who else am I missing?

Jim and I are going to make a pizza for tonight. I bought a ball of dough in Sobey's at the end of last week. It's been sitting in the fridge and I looked at it this morning and it looks like the bag is about to explode. LOL.

I had not thought about the thin slices, Linda. But they sure are. We like a thicker cut on some other hams, But these taste so good! Since GS can't eat cured meats, I may go wit a beef or pork roast. Ran across a recipe for pork roast made with sliced apples and red onions. Noticed we are out of the spices they used so have to get some....once a go back to the recipe to see what they are -- mind like a steel sieve.

Oooooo! on the exploding pizza dough, Janet. That would not be cool.

Have coupons for Burger King so will probably take GS there for supper.

It has reached all of 46 F this afternoon. I think Friday is supposed to have a high of 31F so hope Wayne brings in wood for the stove. Or I will try to round some up if he doesn't.

Enjoy your meal out at Burger King Karen.

My day was nice and productive. I did get the decorating finished inside before I headed off to the Book Chat. The Book Chat was fun. One of the ladies brought some Christmas baking for everyone to have while we were discussing the book, which was sweet of her. Our Librarian always supplies store bought cookies, coffee and tea.

When we got home I sat down at the kitchen island and addressed 40 Christmas Cards. Then I ran out! Well, I thought I ran out. Dug deep in to a bedroom drawer and found 9 more. LOL. If I keep looking hard I may find one more and then not have to buy anymore.

I've prepped the pizza. Onions, pepperoni, mushrooms, and olives and Jim has sliced tomatoes on his side. :) We've got a fire on at the moment. Nice and cozy.

Brrrrr, everyone is having such frosty temps.
Yum on pizza Janet! Always a favorite here. Happy the book chat was fun and all the better when someone brings something yummy. Hope you find that one more card.
Thick ham slices are great for breakfast with a hunk of crusty bread and wedge of cheese.
All my cards are done and went out in the mail today along with two small packages. I still need to conclude what to get my friend.

    Hi again.

It is 46 F outside, temps falling. By Friday night it will drop to 19 F. Brrr!

GS felt bad at swimming so we took him home. He either picked up a virus at school or has strep throat. So we did not go to BK. Stopped at Crow Creek on the way home.I put food out for the cat.

    Winter is finally here.
