Where is everyone? I couldn't think of anything for a thread name today:( Sorry about that.
I am not up to very much today. Just getting some things together to donate to CP (Cerebral Palsy) which they will pick up tomorrow. What are you up to today?
Marie, I saw the fires in Sacramento last night on the news and it looks awful! I bet you are getting the smoke there. I hope you and Rick are O.K.
Tina, The floods are unbelievable too! LOL I bet Lola didn't just fall into the pool:) Most pugs I know love to swim.
Janet, I hope you are enjoying your time at the cottage. Glad you were able to pop in and say hi:)
Michelle, Hey there is nothing wrong with bargain hunting for things at Goodwill or Value Village or other places like that! I hope you found some things for Caiden's fish bowl.
We are having pork tenderloin to dinner and I should go pick up some fresh veggies from my Farm Kids. I better get back to gathering up things to send to CP.

Hi Joce! Yes, we are fine..it is a little hazy from the smoke from all of those fires..a Firefighter lost his life fighting a fire in Modoc County though..so very sad. The one in Clear Lake is a big one, they are having a hard time getting that one under control..I hate this season with a passion..I'm sure you all have heard that before..it's just where we live, there is really only one way out....

Been busy as heck so I haven't been here in a while...

Hi Janet!

We went to lunch at Freebirds after Bri's volleyball camp. Now who knows how long our waits going to be here at the dentist. Yesterday evening we got a text from Bri's softball coach saying our team is going to start practicing early so she had her first practice last night and registration hasn't even started lol. She needs all the extra practice she can get though so this is perfect. She was tired though after having camp that morning and it will be the same tomorrow night not too. Forgot to pull out something for dinner before I left this morning so I guess I will quickly have to defrost some ground beef or something. Maybe make a pot of chili? Its a rainy day so that would be perfect. Hope everyone is having a great day!

Chili sounds great. So does chicken and broccoli casserole. Pork tenderloin is wonderful. I'm so hungry. Lazy, but hungry.

Volleyball was my favorite team sport. It was the only one I had a decent chance of playing. Good luck at Dentist.

I wish we could send our rain to CA., Marie. The fires are frightening.

Rachel drove me to work so she could use the car. That was the farthest she has driven and it was pouring out. She was very nervous but she is getting better.
Tonight's dinner is stuffed peppers but it is just frank and I. Becca went to a friends and Rachel is going out to dinner with Ed. They are going to the place he works Tremezzo. He won employee of the month and the prize was a gift certificate lol. I think they could come up with a better prize the Kkid works there five days a week and that's where he is supposed to go on his day off.

Michelle, school is fast approaching - there goes the summer. GS starts 5th grade on the 11th. They are starting sooner because if they use up as many snow days as last year there will be no breaks.

Hope the fires stay away, Marie. They sure look terrible on the news.

Farm fresh veggies are so good, Joce. I have some tomatoes and a hubbard squash to use up, from a friend's garden.

Hi Laurie!

Ran errands. Had chiropractor appointment and he worked on the shoulder that has been giving me fits in exercise class. It will be worked on every time I go in. He is not sure why it is hurting but is working on it to see if alignment is causing the problem. It felt better in the office, is bothering just a bit again now. Time will tell.

Local gun store / range is having ladies night class in loading and unloading handguns. So I am taking my 380 to practice with. Hopefully won't be too behind the power curve. It sounds like a fun class. Must find a case for it and probably should make sure to unload the gun first before taking it in! Aargh! Wayne is driving me to this one and said he will keep himself busy until I am finished.

Laurie, good to hear Rachel is doing well driving. Busman's holiday for Ed. I love stuffed peppers, been forever since I made them.

Karen, I'm stilling harping on Liv to get her permit to carry. She is a procrastinator of the finest kind. Glad the chiropractor is going to work on the tricky shoulder.

My sister Allison just called. She has throat cancer and will have to have radiation. I'm worried.

I'm afraid this is a yearly occurrance during Summer..wildfires here in California..seems like it's getting worse every year since we are in a drought..we have been doing a good job at saving water..we take "Navy showers". That's where you get wet, turn off the water , lather up, turn the water back on and rinse...we only flush every other time we use the bathroom, #1 of course, (not as bad as it sounds, just close the lid after and clean the toilet more often than usual), I collect grey water to water plants..and do laundry only when necessary..these are the things most of us are resorting to in order to save water.

Oh Tina, I'm so sorry to hear about your sister..sending prayers and healing thoughts her way..try not to worry dear....
