Tuesday's Tales

    Good Morning Everyone.

It's Tuesday and a beautiful bright sunny day here.
Landscaping company is doing lawn and edging today and they splattered mud all over the house, windows/screens, and shutters along the back of the house where the dining room is. I'm a bit miffed. It's easy enough to take a hose to the area but I shouldn't have to. It's happened on several occasions this summer but now that the shutters are up I don't need the tracks filled with gunk. Contacted the company about it and management. Either they have to stop using a weedwacker to edge or just stop edging the area there period.

Going to try a new place for lunch today. It's a pizza place and they have chicken Caesar salad so that's what we will get and it will give me the opportunity to try their pizza because you can get a slice for lunch and not have to order a whole pie. Going to get ready in a bit. They don't have outside seating :( so LD has to stay home.
Nothing much going on here. Not sure what'll be for dinner because I know I won't be hungry later so will cook something easy for DH.
Another picture of a sunset attached just for the fun of it.

Well it`s a beautiful bright sunny day here as well Linda! :) It`s supposed to go up to 28C/82F by this afternoon. Crazy weather. Ugh on the mud storm. If the management company doesn`t edge in that area does that mean you`d have to do it yourself? Your lunch plan sounds yummy. Love the sunset photo with the little bird atop the lamp post. :)

We`re super slow mobilizing this morning. I have the birds and squirrels fed. We just finished eating breakfast. Jim is going to try trim some pieces of his metal roofing with a jig saw. I wouldn`t mind running in to town and doing a few errands. Need a bit of new clothes for winter.

No clue what to do for dinner although I`m craving a BBQ steak.I`ll have to root around in the freezer and see what I come up with.

We had a very big thunder and lightening storm last night. The satellite TV went out so we went to bed. Got 17mm of rain.

    Wishing everyone a great day!

They just have to find another solution to using a weedwacking to edge. I won't have to do anything myself (other than clean up the mud splattered all over).
Uggg on the satellite going out last night Janet. Does it stay out long?? Ours goes out but is usually back on within 10 minutes or so because ours storms pass quickly, at least the part that blocks out the satellite connection. That's a lot of rain! but better than getting snow, right?

Well the pizza place I wanted to try for lunch didn't look to good when we walked thru the door so we left. There were a handful of tables that were crowded together and it looked dirty … nothing like the pictures on-line. Most people were getting take-out.
Went to Two Meatballs in the Kitchen to try their pizza and it was awful. We shared a Caesar salad that was good and we got a regular 12" pie with sausage and mushrooms and a margarita 12" pie and we didn't care for either. So the raccoons will have plenty to eat tonight. Blahhhh.

See on the news that the coastal areas are flooding from storm surges thanks to Hurricane Michael even though it's sunny and dry here. No rain along the shore, just storm surges bringing water in further than it should be.

Usually the satellite doesn`t go out for long Linda but last night it would go out, come back on then go out again so after the third or so time we just gave up. It was a bad storm. What a shame that the pizza place didn`t look good and then oh dear on the Two Meatballs in the Kitchen pizza being awful. Lucky raccoons at least. :) What a shame on the flooding. :(

I did find two big steak in the freezer which are almost thawed so will rub them down in a bit and just scrounge for some veggies to go on the side later. Had a turkey sandwich for lunch and Jim finished up the Squash soup and nibbled on some turkey as well.

I had a good jaunt in to town. Bought myself a nice jacket thing to wear at Jim`s Uncle`s 80th birthday party on the 20th. Got a cuddly shirt (very soft material) and also a black sweater thing. Bought my Mom a v-necked sweatshirt for Christmas with cardinals on it too.

Jim made good progress on the hot tub roof and is very near finishing although it is now clouding up.

    Hi.

Ugh on the mud, Linda, but raccoons must be happy. I don’t care for restaurants that are not clean either. We tend to patronize those that keep up appearances.

Janet, I need to get some fall clothing also. We are supposed to have storms tonight some may be severe. GS will be with us esp if weather turns bad.

My chiropractor is concerned about the way my back keeps hurting. He wants to try compression to see if that helps....12 treatments twice a week. It is not cheap but Medicare won’t cover it.

See you later. Have a nice evening!

Good luck with the storms Karen. Hope they pass by you. Your back has been hurting for quite a while and you know, backs are a big thing and not to be taken lightly. I think that if your Chiropractor actually thinks there may be a way of treating it, that it should be explored. Not doing it may make the condition worse and you already are aware of how limiting having a bad back is.

Jim overcooked the steak which is a shame but it happens. I used some BBQ sauce and that made it better. Had a tossed salad on the side and Jim cleaned up the veggie platter from Thanksgiving dinner.

    Night all.
