Good Morning Everyone ... well almost Afternoon.

Had to get up early today and take LD to the doggie dentist for his post-op check up. Happy to say all looks well.
I could not fall asleep last night and once I did it was very restless, needless to say I am very tired today and not up for much.
I have to take DH to the eye doctor again this afternoon. The eye drops that were prescribed didn't help and today a procedure will be done that's a little more invasive and hopefully take care of the problem.
Will cook something easy here tonight ... think I'll pull out ground beef and grill patties later along with sliced fresh tomato and asparagus. That's about all I'm up for.

Hope to hear chatter today from everyone. Hope everyone who is ok and just busy.

Trip to St. Augustine went well as usual. Business end good and pleasure end was delightful. Now back to the regular grind.

Tis my cheese night so looking forward to that as usual.

Hate it when I don't get a decent night sleep, Linda. It throws your whole day off. For some me reason I woke up at 4:00 every morning while we were gone....makes for a fuzzy day....ha ha! Good to hear LD is doing well. Hoping the eye procedure works on your DH. Got your FB request.

Maybe that is where the term Snuggle Bunny came from if it was so affectionate. Your dinner sounds delicious to me.

Wow! I missed the part about Caiden sleeping through all that noise. I wish I could sleep like that! I have always been a light sleeper and I wanted to make sure my son slept well and I had read somewhere about vacuuming while babies slept. I did that and maybe that did the trick b/c my son sleeps well.

Hi all! Just wanted to pop in and say "Hi"! We have had a very lazy day catching up on some shows on the DVR. This is the first time I've pulled out my computer today lol. Gotta do some dishes and figure out dinner, I think I am doing some pork and pineapple meatball skewers. Found the recipe in one of my cookbooks, but I want to change it up a little bit. May post it later if it turns out good! I'll read back tonight, enjoy the rest of the day!!

Goodness at all the rain and thunder storms this summer Joce! My girlfriend and her hubby were out at our house the other night. She said that my tomatoes were coming along but no ripe ones yet. It kills me that I might not get any of the fruits of my labour this year! LOLO.

Hi Michelle! Your laid back day sounds lovely.

Jim and I have had a productive day. I got two bank drafts this afternoon to pay two of Mom's medical bills and I sent off the Canadian one already. We did two loads of laundry. I have one more of Mom's to do and then I have officially washed every single article of clothing and bedding and everything in the house!!!!! Jim is working in the basement again today. He borrowed a shop vac from a friend and is sucking up over 20 years worth of spider webs. They're HUGE! And get this....he got the shower working!!!!! WOW! Now that will be a major improvement in lifestyle for us. Dad had installed a single shower stall in the basement years and years ago but the upstairs bathroom only has a tub. Jim and I have been washing our hair under the faucet when we bathe and it's not been fun. Cost us $13 for some heavy duty penetrating oil to get the handles loose, but it was well worth it! :)

Chicken Lickin Good Pork Chops
for dinner tonight with baked potatoes and spinach on the side. Got them going in the crock pot.

Tomorrow my cousin Heather and I are going up to FF to visit Mom. I'm going to treat her for lunch as well and we'll also do a bit of shopping.

Am starting to find places to get good local farm produce. Hooray! Need to think of a dessert but it's not a huge deal.

Friday we've been invited to stay over at a Camping Park with old school chums of mine and then Sat. we'll go up to FF to visit Mom and then back home where my Aunt Irene has invited us for the 5th time for dinner!!!!!

DH's eye doctor appointment went well. I am so sick of doctor appointments and of course he has to go back next week for a recheck. He developed a couple retention cyst on the white part of his eye and the specialist doctor pierced them to release the liquid and hopefully they will just flatten and heal. You can only see them under their microscope type of device.

I'm envious of your lazy day Michelle. My intention is for a lazy night.

Welcome home Kimmer. How is Chloe these days? Has she gotten much bigger?

Mistic was a BIG girl Janet ... She weighed in around 10 pounds (more than LD!) but I loved every inch of her. She would balance on her hind legs and reach up on me if I had something for her to eat and the top of her head would reach the top of my leg. I never knew what breed she was, she was probably mixed, but most resembled an "American".
Kuddos on Jim getting the shower working!! and Kuddos to you on accomplishing so much in such a short time. You certainly have earned a "superwoman" title. Mmmmm on the pork chops, bet it would be good with a pork loin too. I love crock pot recipes.
