Good Morning everyone! We've got a bit of sunshine this morning so I'm going to go for a walk in just a bit and maybe get some pictures of the fall leaves. It's supposed to rain again this afternoon.

I'm sorry to hear about Mary Karen. :( It's good you know of a used washing machine to use if your current ones dies completely. Bad when the repairs cost so very much.

Your soap shop name is nice Linda. A very fun project indeed.

Frozen lasagna and garlic bread on the menu here for this evening. Jim's going to drive his Dad to an eye appointment this afternoon. It's an hour and 20 min. drive so he'll be gone awhile. I'll stay and visit with the girls.

I misread yesterday's post regarding Mary. I don't know what I thought but it wasn't what it is and I'm so sorry Karen. Not an easy decision to make. She'll let you know when she's ready.

We have Kenpo this afternoon and after will grab a bite to eat out and then over to Costco for a few things we need. That's all that's planned for today.
Finally waking up to cooler temps in the morning (low to mid 70's) and brrrrrr, I had to get my slippers out. It warms up to mid 80's by mid day and is still humid. Am able to raise the temp on the air conditioning 1 degree (now set at 76f) and it's comfortable.

Not much happening here, just staying home with Sophia. Her fever finally broke yesterday and she's feeling much better except for the stuffy nose and sinus headaches. She's at the sneezing and coughing stage (highly contagious stage! ;) So I will keep her home from school all week. I didn't get to the chili yesterday, so that is on the menu for tonight.

Mary is a sweet cat who had a horrendous first owner. She must be about 18 or more. Unfortunately, it is time. Her problems are increasing.. We will miss her. Have no idea why I attract the kitties with issues!

Best get up and get moving. Too much to do in too short a time.

I’m so sorry about Mary Karen :-( I’m sure it’s the right thing to do with all her problems.

It’s a hot but beautiful day out today and there is a nice breeze which really helps out with the humidity. Our difital temperature reader is not working right. I think the outside thingy it reads off of needs new batteries or something. The little man on the screen is wearing a heavy sweater, pants, a scarf and a hat, so that can’t be right haha! Anyday now hopefully the weather will be cooling off some? Crossing fingers, lol.

Decided on making this for my next pumpkin themed recipe Chocolate Pumpkin Bread It always scares me to make a new Paleo baking recipe, because they either turn out good or are a flop. This one I had my doubts about, but I just checked to see if it was done, and it actually rose well and looks really good! After looking back at the recipe I just realized there was NO SUGAR! Oh well, maybe the pumpkin added a little sweetness? I could always drzzle the slices with honey. Why on earth did I not notice this as I was making it? Grrr…

Michael went fishing with my Dad the other day, so I am making fresh fish, probably blackened, either on the grill or stove top, just depending on what I feel like in a couple of hours. Caiden has a cub scout meeting, but I think Michael is wanting to take him this time, as it is kind of a Dad thing and he has been working every other time. Hope everyone has had a great day!!

Have a good day Karen. I know from past experience how hard it is to have a cat put down. But we do it because we love them.

Went into town with the girls for a little shop. I found some nice leather mittens with wooly inserts to put in Jim's Christmas stocking and also bought a tub of Kawartha Dairy Ice cream "Pralines and Cream" to go with the apple crisp my niece is making for dessert this evening. Yes, we each had a bowl before our lunch. Sssshhhhhh.......:)

Sorry to hear about your Mary cat, Karen. :( We lost both our cat's to horrible illness's and old age. Sounds like she's had a good life with you. If she's not herself and in pain, it's the humane thing to do. Hugs

Oh my gosh, I wish you could send me some of that ice cream Janet!!! Lol ;)

I just made the pumpkin chili and added it to IMI, very tasty!! Pumpkin Chili I am soooooo full, I think the pumpkin makes it very filling. I didn't have much to do today, so I worked on my pumpkin scones again. I've been developing the recipe for almost a year now. I think I have it down pat and will post the recipe. :)
