Wading In The Pool Wednesday

  • mommyluvs2cook 9 years ago
Got the kiddie pool out for Caiden and when I mean kiddie pool, I mean a HUGE blow up pool lol! I told him him I would go out there in a bit and sit in it with him. It's a sweltering hot day once again. Need to go to the meat market in a bit and pick up some bacon, chicken and pork chops. Dinner tonight will be these meatballs http://allrecipes.com/recipe/kafta-bbq/detail.aspx with the sauce from this recipe http://paleoly.com/paleo-tzatziki-sauce-lamb-wraps/ along with some green beans and carrots.

    What's everyone up to today?

    Joce, you doing okay?

You must be staying busy Marie!

Tina, lol at Olivia wanting to go Paleo after eating fried chicken :)

Hi to everyone else :) Pic. is probably what I'll look like in the pool today lol :P Have a good day!

Morning Michelle.....oops....how'd it get to be afternoon already? :)
Got the kitchen cleaned up, made some phone calls and finished mowing the back yard so only fun stuff for the rest of the day. :)
(Who is in your Avatar with your daughter? It's not you is it?) Lucky Caiden and lucky you to get some pool time today. Your dinner sounds yummy.
Good to have you pop in last night Kimmer. I remember you talking about Nathan before in the past. The poor kid. (LOL @ the red cabbage...NOM) I think it's really nice that Nathan actually gets a glimpse at a 'normal' family. You're a good influence and it doesn't sound like he has a lot of that offered to him. How's Michael doing these days?
YUM on Pickle Juice Fried Chicken Tina.
Jim's craving Indian food so we may order take out for dinner.
    Hoping everyone is doing okay.

Oh my goodness, it is quiet in here today.
I have doctor's appointments all day today and tomorrow.
Liv is binge watching Grey's Anatomy. Fred is napping.
Love the picture with the floaties. That is a lot of blowing up...I hope you have a foot pump, at least.
I told Olivia all the things she CAN eat on Paleo and she seems jazzed to try it.

We might just get a pizza because I have to be at the sleep study at 9:00. I get done with the sleep study at 6:00 a.m. and will have to be at the doctor's office at 9:30. It will be a whirlwind.

Have a good day, my friends.

Lol on getting the not fun stuff done early Janet! Now you can just relax, or cook, or bake, or Pin stuff :P That is me with Bri in my avatar! That's when we went to Pleasure Pier. The pool was actually pretty nice, except for the times Caiden accidentally kick water in my face. YUM on Indian food!! I almost made a chicken curry with coconut milk, but then just stuck with chicken salad. I knew the kids wouldn't eat the curry and didn't feel like figuring out something different for them.

Hi Tina, that's a lot of Dr.'s appts! Crossing my fingers your next two days fly by and good luck, especially with your sleep study tonight :)

Just to clear up that is not really me in the pool pic. I just found that on Google lol!

YOU ARE SO YOUNG LOOKING MICHELLE! Goodness! At first glance I thought it was Bri with a friend. Plus for whatever reason I thought you were blonde. I hate getting splashed in a pool or anywhere. When we were visiting family in Niagara recently we went for a swim in Jim's cousin's pool but there were four kids jumping, splashing and shooting water guns. I got out pretty quickly. :)

Just quickly checking in. I am still not well at all. My doctor is at some physician's meeting/conference, and won't be back until the end of next week! I have an appointment with her Nursing Practitioner, on Friday morning at her office, so we shall see how that turns out? Going back to bed again.

Aw Joce. I'm so sorry to hear that. I'm glad you are going to see somebody even if it isn't your regular Dr. Take care.

Michelle, you are beautiful. LOL on the blowup pool picture. I hear you on not making two different dishes. I am just getting Olivia to like curry.

Joce, sorry that you are not well. Please take care of yourself. Rest up.
Marie???? Please don't abandon us. Please tell me you and the family are okay. Hugs.
Karen? Hope all is well in your neck of the woods. Hugs as well.

I'm back from endocrinologist and he has determined my double vision is not from blood sugar spikes. So that explains one theory and now on to the next theory.

Have a good evening. I'm going to be hooked up to electrodes head to toe. I don't know how you they expect you to sleep. LOL

I picked up a pizza and it is in the oven as I type. Made a salad side with La Feria sauce (and tomatoes, no croutons).

Tina - best of luck on the sleep study. It turns out Wayne will not have to do another one. He complained about having to lay on a hard mattress (we have a water bed and he is absolutely adamant about NOT getting rid of it) during the first test, but the wires / electrodes didn't seem to bother him.

    Cool picture, Michelle.

Janet and Michelle - I hate getting water splashed at me in the pool also, and never go in with kids for that reason. I guess I'm a grumpy grandma - LOL. But some things are for adults only.

Joce - sometimes a nurse practitioner can be great. Our dermatologist is a nurse practitioner and is really good. He takes more time to sit and talk with us. Hope you feel better.

We just got back from Columbia around 6 P./M. - up at 4:15 this morning to leave by 5 - it is a long drive. Fed the outdoor cats as soon as we got back. A.C. dashed between Wane's legs into the forbidden (to cats other than Mary) bedroom. I rousted him out. He flew to the door, Wayne opened it, said "Out" and the little brat turned around, stared him in the eyes, and flew back. The holy terror skidded to a stop in front of me, I said, "Out, out!" and he whirled around and galloped out of the room back into the hallway full speed ahead. My husband can not DISCIPLINE the "bad kitty" even by voice!

All our critters are holding their own. Mel and A.C. are the only two young cats. The other ones range from 14-ish to 19 1/2. The horses are fat and sassy at 21 and 22. Homer is showing more signs of aging at 12, sleeps a LOT!

We did have a little rain while we were gone. But the bad stuff is all East of us.

Have a good evening - what is left of it.
