Bottom tier 12" Chocolate cake with hazelnut cream filling, wedding cream cheese frosting

Middle tier 9" vanilla cake with raspberry cream filling and wedding cream cheese frosting

Top tier, to freeze for anniversary 6" red velvet cake, chocolate mousse filling, wedding cream cheese frosting.

Bottom and top tier decorated white with navy scroll work, photo 1. Middle tier is white texture with navy ribbon and brooch.
Cake and dessert table will have overlays picture two.

So cake for 90. Candy buffet, 125 Nora's cookies, Olive Garden mini shooters, limoncello, tiramisu and butterscotch caramel.

Scotty's groom cake is decorated like a football field, with Notre Dame colors, navy, gold and green. Flavor chocolate peanut butter! :-) with special topper picture three.

No cupcakes because they can't be filled.

What's an Olive garden mini shooter Tina? And so it seems that the 'flavour' didn't get chosen but that 'all the flavours' got chosen. LOL. Excellent. Neat that Liv and Scottie can keep the top tier until their first anniversary. I've ever heard of a Groom cake before. So there's a wedding cake and a groom cake. Is there a Bride's cake? That's A LOT of dessert. Very fun.

It is a dessert extravaganza. Mini shooters are petite parfaits in flavors indicated. Yep all flavors because there was no consensus. Some don't like chocolate, some don't like vanilla. The groom's cake tradition is usually a gift from bride to groom because HE usually doesn't like the bride's pick on main cake. Plus it is a nod to his taste versus all the froufrou of a traditional wedding cake. I've seen groom's cakes as their dog, their truck or a bucket of beer. Lol

Wow, everything sounds delicious Tina! The wedding cake will be delicious, and I love that y'all are doing a different flavor for each tier :) :) Michael had a Groom's cake as well. Since my cake was traditional white cake with strawberry filling, his was chocolate cake with a dark chocolate ganache icing.

I had never heard of a Groom Cake before. I guess it isn't a Canadian thing. Thanks for the explanation, Tina. I agree with Janet that is a lot of desserts and sweets!

I love the flavors and glad she chose the red velvet for their anniversary! Red dyed cake and a white dress could be a bad combo. ;) I love the scroll detail too!
Lol, the groom cake topper is too funny! Our friends had a Groom's cake with their dogs on it, that was the only time I've seen a Groom's cake.
