Wednesday Weather

Brrr! It is 38F and the fall weather finally replaced the summer sauna! Now to get accustomed to autumn. Since chemo, I seem to be more sensitive to cold, although the medicine reaction of pseudo hot flashes do help....LOL! Can’t wait until I am off all the meds!

Ugh on the painting team next door, Linda. It would gross me out seeing the neighbors yard transform into a public bathroom! Yuk! With the forest just behind our house we would never know if one sneaked off for that purpose, but in the suburbs....gross!

Janet, we had one one team play rather loud music, different kind each day. As long as they stayed away from heavy metal and loud rock, it was tolerable. They were polite, never set foot inside the house, refused offers of ice water etc. although I would gladly have supplied it in the summer heat! Guess it depends on the company.

Glad Benjamin’s Christmas package will soon be on its way.

Wayne should be up soon so guessI better get going.

    Good Morning Everyone.

Beautiful day here. Not sure just yet of any plans today. My chicken parm came out 'ok' yesterday. I didn't bread it, just seasoned and pan seared then finished it in the oven with sauce and cheese. DH ate it so it wasn't bad, just different. I bought steaks the other day at the store so will grill them for dinner tonight.

Wow on your chilly temps Karen. It's like you went from summer straight to winter. There's just no excuse for my neighbors workers and no excuse for my neighbor. I have a few 'choice' words how I feel about him.

It's a nice assortment you got for Benj's Christmas package Janet. Unique food stuff is always great to get.

Good Morning Karen! You're even colder than Ottawa this morning! We're at 8C!

Wishing Joce a Happy Birthday today! Are you going out for dinner? Hope you have a great day!

It hasn't started yet but it's supposed to rain all day and quite heavily this evening. I think we'll stick close to home. We're going to have a Facetime chat with Benjamin after breakfast for his birthday. I'd like to make a batch of
    Sauerkraut Souppolish Style
and maybe a batch of cookies. My girlfriend's husband had knee replacement surgery yesterday so I'd like to bring him over something.

And I still don't have to cook after the weekend. We're doing great on the leftovers. Finished off the Malibu Chicken last night with a tossed salad on the side and tonight we'll do turkey one more time and then I'll freeze the rest. I might make a run to the library this afternoon and also might need to pop to the grocery store for all necessary cookie ingredients.

Hoping everyone has a great day!

    Happy Birthday to Benj too!
It's nice to have leftovers and not having to cook Janet. A pot of soup on a cool rainy day sounds great as do cookies.

Wow on your cool weather, Karen! So glad to hear your good news about your chemo results. Try to stay in today and keep cozy.
Wishing a veryHappy Birthday to Ben, Janet. We haven't decided whether to go out for dinner tonight or go somewhere when the weather gets better while Den is off. We ate out for lunch yesterday for our anniversary when we were in Kingston yesterday so we shall see. I picked up some lovely pork chops at a butcher shop yesterday so I think we will have that. Enjoy your chat with Ben.
I don't know what I would do if my next if the workers at my neighbours acted like that, Linda? Very upsetting to say the least!

Thanks so much for the lovely birthday wishes. Getting too close for comfort to that 70 mark!
    Wishing everyone a great day!

Thanks Linda! Just finished up our call with him and I'm sad to say he didn't celebrate his birthday really. :( He and his girlfriend are having troubles again. Rolling eyes. Poor guy. Wish I could fly there straight away and take him out to celebrate.

Thanks Joce. That's nice you went out for lunch in Kingston for your Anniversary. Where did you go? Did Den see his Dr. and if so did that go well? It is indeed a dreary day weatherwise. Jim and I are thinking a nice warm pub would be good on a day like today for lunch. Pork chops sound great.

I'd be totally grossed out if I saw workers going to the bathroom in someone's yard. :(

    Happy Anniversary too Joce.

Awww, sorry to hear Benj's bday wasn't all that. Maybe he can have a 'do-over' and go out with a friend(s).

After I called the management company twice to tell them about my neighbors workers I know a call was made because they removed their buckets and such that they were washing off on the property so if something was said about that something was said about the other. I'm lucky I got someone when I called because usually you just get voicemail which is frustrating to everyone here. I shouldn't even have to make a phone call but people can be swine. I know I'm/we are not long for living here. I want to move back up north to PA, maybe NJ and have been looking but I want a home without an association or a neighbor uncomfortably close. I think if I find a place I'm ready to handle the stress of a move.

Started reading "A Place Called Freedom" by Ken Follett. I'm only on chapter 4 but think I'll like the book.

Good afternoon and hello to all. Pouring rain right now. Happy Birthday Joce!! Happy Birthday to Benjamin too!!

Been on baby watch. Karli had to go back to the ER yesterday. Had been having contractions for 2 days straight, but she's not dilating anymore. Dr. says about another week. She can't wait as she is miserable!

Went out to eat with friends last night to a relatively new place, Giovanni's https://www.giovannisfreshkitchen.com/menus/#pasta Was very, very good. Will definately go back. Had to move cheese night to Thursday, lol.

    Tacos here tonight.

Hope all enjoy the rest of the day.

Well I'm glad your call to the Management company got results Linda. I'm happy to hear you're seriously thinking of moving. I don't think you've ever been truly happy there. Where does your sister live? I've never been to either Pennsylvania or New Jersey. Do you want to live in a larger city or a smaller town? Jim has read a lot of Ken Follett's books but I don't think he's read that one. I sent him the link.

Hi Kimmer! Thanks for the birthday wishes for Benjamin. Poor Karli. Dear. Sending positive vibes and prayers. It'll all be worth it. Yes please for Tacos tonight and Cheese night tomorrow night. :) What did you have at Giovanni's to eat? I saw a Lobster and Shrimp risotto on their menu that looked pretty yummy and pretty decadent! :) Drunken mussels too! They have a ton of things on their appetizer menu that look really scrumptious.

Jim and I ended up going to the Cheshire Cat pub for lunch. They didn't have the fireplace on though and I was sitting directly in front of the door so whenever anyone came in or went out I'd get a blast of cold air. Now I'm chilled. Everything else was great though. I had one pc. fish and chips and Jim had Sweet Maple Sriracha chicken wings. Yes, I was surprised as you to see him order anything with the word sweet and maple in the description but he enjoyed them. Fickle man.

I made the batch of Sauerkraut soup when I got home. It smells very good. Will push the turkey leftovers to tomorrow and just have soup tonight as we're too full.

Ah, forgot to mention that. We shared the Charcuterie Board and Crispy Brussels Sprouts for appys. Then I had the Giovanni’s Pear and Gouda Signature Ravioli, hubs had Chargrilled Filet Mignon. My friend Sondra had Eggplant Parmigiana and her hubs had Chicken Parmigiana. Dessert was Creme Brûlée for me, Chocolate Mousse for hubs and friends shared the Italian Lemon Cream Cake. All was scrumptious and delightful!

I eyed up that Charcuterie board too Kimmer and the price was very reasonable! What yummy food you all had! (Except the Eggplant Parmigiana...bleck) :( Oh....and the crispy brussel sprouts. LOL. But that's just me. I'm glad you loved it all.
