Wee Wednesday....

Good Morning Everyone! We have clear skies and sunshine at the moment. -2C/28F. Jim is going to run over to the Building store and pick up some more snow guards he ordered for his Dad's cottage roof and then he's going to burn his last brush pile.

I think I'm going to make some more wee Fairy furniture today. Since I haven't really cooked since Saturday I'm itching to make something nice for dinner too but haven't figured out what yet.

Benjamin's girlfriend Angel booked her flight to Taiwan for the beginning of December. She is going to visit Benj for almost two weeks which is so nice. She's been unable to get a new contract set up to return to work in Taiwan although she continues to try. I'm very pleased for both of them.

Will Fritz get some bones to chew on from the deer processing Karen? Hope you made out well at your Chiro appointment.

    Wishing everyone a great day!

Have fun making Fairy Furniture today, Janet. So very nice of Angel to come and visit Ben. I am sure he is delighted about that! I am quite sure you will figure out something good for dinner.

I have a hearing aid appointment this afternoon which is just a checkup. Then I need to pick up a few things at the grocery store and also drop a couple of pairs of jeans off to my seamstress to shorten. Maybe I will pick up dinner when I am out as well.

    Wishing everyone a great day!

Good Morning Everyone. Happy Wednesday to all.

Nice to spend some time at home Janet especially when it's so cold out. That's great that Angel is going to visit Benj but bummer on still waiting to get a work contract. Do I dare ask ... would anything change if they were married? Would she be able to be with him then? Sorry to hear your lunch out wasn't good yesterday.

Not much planned for today. I need to get to the grocery store and will in a bit. Probably won't go to the craft/holiday market. After looking at the vendor list I just don't see anything I'd be interested in and too I don't want to be tempted to buy stuff not needed. I'll wait for Monday when the normal Farmer's Market returns.

Think I'm in the mood for a pork tenderloin for dinner with roasted vegetables.

Suppose the have the pavers sealed tomorrow then a couple days of drying then I can put my house back together again. Next big cleaning project is steam cleaning the tile floors which DH will do. I want/need to clean the carpet in the master bedroom and closet and my office then everything will be done other than the weekly and day to day stuff.

I'm honestly not sure about the marriage laws in Taiwan Linda. Even Benjamin can only remain in Taiwan if he has a work contract so I don't know what would happen if he had a wife and she wasn't working. I am guessing that one or both of them may have looked into that already. LOL. Pork tenderloin sounds yummy. You've been getting a lot done at your house lately!

I bought some veal scaloppini on sale recently. Looked in my GR bookmarks and came across this one that I haven't tried yet. Think I'll go with it for dinner this evening.
    Zagreb Veal Steak
    Not sure about sides yet.

DH has been a big help Janet and not only am I surprised but thankful. It keeps him busy, is good "occupational and physical" therapy, and I believe is really helping him heal. It's been a long road traveled for sure with even more miles to go but when I look back this past year I'm counting my blessing.

The veal recipe looks good. Kinda like a Cordon Blu.

I'm going to make this and will get what I need at the store. I've made it before and it's great! Same recipe that's on A.R. I'll add a few more things like some broccoli and cauliflower. Full Minestrone Soup

That is really nice that your DH is helping Linda and it's good that it works for him too. I'm glad to hear you can look back on the year and see progress and feel thankful.

I made two ladders, two birdbaths, an arch, a stool, two benches, a bed and a stack of firewood to bring in to restock the Flower shop's fairy furniture. Gonna go prep dinner.

A quiet day in here today!

Prepped the Zagreb Veal Steak. it was very fun to make. I'm excited to see how it turns out. Decided to serve it over a bed of spinach with some carrots on the side. Just came in from a Hot tub. Might get some snow overnight. time to light a fire and snuggle in.

Got two great NY Strip steaks when I went to the store so I grilled them for dinner. I just love my little grill. It's easy to keep clean and grills just as good as my big one did. I'll do the pork loin in a day or two.

A hot tub soak sounds great Janet. We have one at the amenity center but I just can't soak in one when it's 80 degrees. Cute on all the little fairy furniture you made. Did you use the moss you gathered?
