Wha'sup Wednesday

Watered the tomatoes this AM. Did the first fungicide spray of baking soda and Dawn soap on all of them. Hope they don't all keel over, but I have two new trays of seeds going.

Not a clue for dinner. Did get March's Angel ministries food box ordered. Due in the last Saturday of the month.

Very cold and grey here today. Nothing exciting happening---just running TBO to his new job tonight. He's working W-Th-F this week, and I am concerned about his ability to study with that schedule!

I just browned off the short ribs for tonight's dinner. Serving those braised with potatoes and asparagus. I will eat one with a small serving of taters and lots of the asparagus----still on the starvation plan, ha!

    Y'all have a great one.

I love celery soup! To a large sauce pot added, 1 head of not so crispy chopped celery, 1 large peeled cubed russet potato, and enough water to cover. Simmered for 45 minutes. Added 1 package dry chicken noodle soup mix, 1 can condensed cream of celery soup, and 1 ounce cubed white cheddar. Simmered for another 5 minutes. Added 1 sleeve crunched up crackers to the bottom of a bowl and ladled soup over it.

    Time for a nap. : = ) ~~~~~~~~~~~~

LOL Wynne, sorry to hear that! What kind of sausage do you use and how do you make them?

Laurie, I think Becca sounds serious with her diet so you probably don't have to worry.

Judy, where does TBO work? He's only 16 right? That's really commendable these days...

I was planning on doing baby backs on the grill, but still haven't prepared them, so maybe not. The deck's a mess anyway - all covered with sawdust, etc. Sun's out though.

I talked to her about the party, I said there will be pizza and cake. How many slices do you think you should have? and she said 1 and no cake. but I said it is ok to have cake but just one slice. I mean the kid is 9!!! Made an appointment with her pediatrician to talk about healthy eating habits. i dont want her to be obsessed with food like I am. Also, we have been noticing her neck is swollen. Not like glands more like all around towards the front where the thyroid lays. Tried to google it but all that comes up is swollen glands and lymph nodes which this is in the wrong place for.
