    I tried this the other night. I have an older microwave and the staples didn't spark at all which really surprised me. After 2.5 minutes though I still had quite a lot of unpopped kernels. I flipped the bag over and ran it for another 2.5 minutes. I had a few slightly burnt pieces which weren't that bad. It worked out fine although I missed the flavor of "butter" I get from purchased microwave popcorn. But I suppose that makes it healthier! I attached my picture.
