About me
I'm a seat-of-the-pants cook at heart who uses recipes to try new concepts and sometimes for technical reasons if it's something I'm not familiar with. I have New Orleans roots and food was and still is a big part of our culture. I was once criticized by a non-family member for having too much food available at a barbeque party for 20. Go figure. I have been in the process of trying to commit to paper some of the dishes that were handed down by my family's women folk for generations. I have to discipline my self to write down what is usually a more impressionistic process (let's see, is 3 ribs of celery a cup, or what?).
