  • frankieanne 2 weeks ago about Beer Batter Fried Chicken
This was an interesting technique to making fried chicken. I used thighs and I upped the oil temperature to 375. I used chipotle chili powder. Didn't have onion salt so I used onion powder and salt. I think some smoked paprika would be nice in this, too. Used Stella Artois beer and I definitely could taste it. Added a picture and put this in IMI on 8/31/14.

'Tis slightly sweet and smoky as advertized. Removed the fat cap just before shredding.
See Tennessee Style Slow Cooker Chipotle Bbq for more detail.

For the mandarin orange cake I used a 9X13 in Pan. I bake it at 350 F for about 20 to 30 min. The recipe says 325F and for an hour . I find it best doing it at 350 F. It probably depends on your oven , should look light brown on top. Let me know how it turned out for you..

Thanks for telling us. I'll try 90% probably. All microwaves cook differently, so trial and error I guess.
As Borinda said ....dangerous! I'll need just a squirt of whipped cream!

Sorry about the delay in response about the bbq sauce recipe - I'm not getting emails from the site, so I didn't see your comment until I randomly logged into GR. I know my response is late, but to answer your question, the sauce recipe makes about 1 1/2 c. if I remember right.

Thanks NCcook. It's one of my favourite ways to make Roast Chicken. The paprika part in the recipe says:
Rub outside of chicken with margarine and then sprinkle with about a tbsp. of lemon juice. Sprinkle with thyme and paprika.

Thanks for checking out the fruit cake recipe. Jim Beam whiskey sounds like a good substitution.
