Thank yo so much for the friends invite - and thanks again for the fun comment on my red herring (i use matjes) recipe. yessss, it is good but you have to give the flavours time to develop. if you want to serve it in the evening, make it early in the morning. it does not spoil even when made one day ahead (of course, it only survives in the fridge :-) ). even those who told me beforehand they don't like 'this stuff' have eaten more then their share. just do not leave any ingredient out, please, it is the combination which does it.
