About me
My name is Adrienne and I joined just to find some recipes! I'm 28 years old and have been a diabetic for 25 years. I'm also on dialysis (once again since my kidney transplant unfortunately didn't work out) so I am always looking for low sugar, low sodium, low potassium and low phosphorous recipes with protein but not a ton of meat (I know, not very appetizing or practical)!! I'm a lover of college basketball, reading, traveling and learning new things. I was born in Fort Walton Beach, FL (Eglin AFB... yes, my dad's a retired officer) and was raised everywhere else (Atlanta, GA; Clovis, NM; Fort Worth, TX; Wichita, KS). I lived in Ithaca for four years while in college (Cornell) and learned that the sky is almost always gray there, they love their smokehouses and Canadian beer, but I call Connecticut home! I'm of Guyanese decent (South American/West Indian) so I eat a TON of spicy foods! I also eat a lot of salad and have been playing with dressing ideas. Once I come up with more hits than misses, I'll share them!
