About me
I am from Ontario, Canada....I love people, food and being with people while eating food! I am not necessarily a beginner, but do not feel that i am yet an intermediate cook; so for now i'll stick with "self proclaimed beginner".....hmm, sounds fancy.

As for the ratings...your rating goes up as you post more recipes, join Groups, rate other people's recipes....basically use as many of the features of the website that you can, and keep doing it. Most of us don't worry about the ratings; I only use them to tell me if the person is new, inactive, or active...
Hope this helps a bit, and don't be afraid to ask any of us anything....

As far as where to post -- we used tohave a n internal message (email) system, but it has been out for the last week or so. The site managers are doing their best to update things, so we are all being patient....In the meantime, you have to go to the person's page and post your message there; that way, the person will know it's been sent....
I'm still learning my way around too....I found out most info from reading through the Group sites (check out "Suggestions" and "Help" sections....)
