About me
Hi! I'm a wannabe cook, but not entirely without experience in the kitchen! I'm single and back in school at the age of 45 to become a nurse. (So I don't have a lot of money for "fancy cookin'"! I'd like to become more confident and creative in my cooking skills. I do believe in eating natural, healthy foods as the basis of my diet, but don't get me wrong--I'm not a "food saint" ! Life is too short not to indulge in some decadent foods now and then and I love wine! Besides that I love to read, watch movies, work-out, spend time with friends, do crossword puzzles, and snuggle my 2 cats!

Hi amyliz - glad my user name brought back memories for you! you will have to check out the recipe I posted for krumkake this past holiday season...there is a picture attached, so it should look familiar to you! Yes, we still enjoy many Scandinavian traditions here, too, like Swedish sausage and lefse...used to celebrate Dip-in-the-Kettle on Christmas Eve, but none of the "younger generation" is too interested in carrying on that tradition! It's always nice to meet someone who knows what krumkake is!!
