About me
I have always loved cooking! I'm so thrilled to have discovered this site that will allow me to share some of my very best recipes with fellow foodies! Anything I post here I can guarantee has been made by me and taste-tested. Of course what I like might not be what you like but I will never post a recipe that hasn't been personally created and tasted before-hand. I am also creative and love to experiment...with recipes as well as in my painting studio...so some of the stuff I have here will be one-of-a-kind. Also... here's one of my favourite quotes--- which I practise religiously: "Cooking is like love. It should be entered into with abandon or not at all." Bon Appetit!!! :o)

Well, I just added a brandied cherries recipe here but I don't see it posted. I was informed it was posted but I don't see it anywhere! I hope I don't have to re-type it all...again!!! :o(


Hello Annastasia, I did not realize that you were from Victoria...I have a question about a local bar in your neck of the woods..I know it's a tourist kinda' place but none the less it's a cool bar..It's the one with all the bras hanging from the ceiling and all the smashed peanut shell dust on the floor???.................Turtle


Hi Thanks for your comment on the pink car, I don't know if you have heard of the "thunderbirds" ? it was a TV program many years ago. Well they had a car in it and that is the exact replica in the photo. Their catch phrase was "FAB" and my husband use to work for a company with that initials "FAB" that photo was taken at their 40th anniversary.

Hello new cookin' buddy.


Trying to find real kielbasa (not that salted nasty bologna type stuff in grocery stores) around here, short of going to Brooklyn or Manhattan, is impossible even tho we live in a highly populated Jewish and Ukranian area. It is mostly summer folk. Pierogi is a breeze as is golumpki. I think I may throw some of my recipes for those and others out there. At least this site is getting me to take those dog earred, greasy, handwritten, faded, single recipe pages and getting them organized and re-written to pass down to the kids. Now if I can just teach them to properly clean a kitchen...

Garlic is so great, not exactly an aphrodisiac for close encounters but... and I tend to go a bit overboard when I make my own kielbasa and pierogi with kapusta but that's a good thing. If God didn't want us to eat it he wouldn't have put it here, it's like elevators, if we were meant to walk up stairs all the time he wouldn't have given us the intelligence to build them.
