I am so glad you enjoyed the New Mexico Green Chili With Pork as much as we do. Roasting chilies makes such a big difference in flavor. It seems like a big deal but it really isn't.

I don't often use a slow cooker, so I'm not sure how to answer. I suppose you can just put the pork with the rub in the slow cooker, but if you were going to brown it first to get some color and caramelization of the brown sugar on the meat, why not just continue cooking stovetop? It would only take a few extra minutes and less dishes to clean up too! And that's always a good thing :)

Sounds great! Those church cookbooks are terrific, aren't they? I have several and check the thrift store every time I go in. A lot of my recipes start with a base from a church cookbook. Hugs, Anj
