About me
I guess I would call myself a "foodie-traveler". I love to travel in East/Southeast Asia, the Indian sub-continent and the Middle East, and am always facinated by the culinary traditions that I come across.
As a part-owner and manager of an organic food retailer in Toronto I'm interested in sustainable food systems, organic certification, traditional/heirloom foods, and fisheries.
My favourites include sushi/kaiseki, pho, masakan padang, dosa/thali, and siu lap.I know thats an odd mix, but what do you expect from a Canadian thats half-Japanese half-Irish.
Currently trying to come up with ideas for vegetarian nigiri sushi, utilising local, healthy ingredients. Any ideas sent my way would be greatly appreciated!!
