Minor details ... but phyllo is nowhere near the same thing as puff pastry. And It's "portabella," not "portobellow." And it's "parmigiana" in Italian recipes, "parmesan" in French recipes. And "Asiago" is capitalized. But who's counting.

Made the dough part for this tonight-- but I used my own bbq pork recipe and tried to make it a bit more asian. It turned out awesome! Loved it! The bun is just how I remember it tasting when we bought it back east!

Thanks for comments on the Ground Beef Skewers. They are really yummy. Enjoy! And you could totally change up the sauce...you could do a nice beef gravy with them alongside mashed potatoes, etc.

So sorry I missed you comment on the pork loin.. it was ages ago.. I have not been on GR in months.

I have a digital meat thermometer that singles me when it is done. I don't know how I did without it before... Takes all the guess work out. And sometimes I can be such a "airhead" when I have lots of people around when I am cooking. I get too busy talking! LOL That little gadget keeps me on track..

    Anytbea,
I saw a post by you commenting on preserving breen beans by the oven method rather than water bath. You sounded as if you have experience preserving this way, is it safe?, how long have you done it? how many things - like tomatoes, applesauce etc? Is there a guide somewhere? Any information will help.
    Thanks a million
