About me
I am a Horse Rancher and I love to cook and Bake. I love real food and making things from scratch, but I will occasionally take some short cuts. I like Martha Stewart over Rachal Ray and I just adore the "Take Home Chef" Curtis Stone. I really enjoy outdoor grilling and usually make up my own BBQ sauces with whatever is on hand. I would like to try using dutch ovens over open fire. This year I will have a beautiful large vegetable garden and I plan to do canning. I want to steer away from foods with msg and go more organic. Have any gardening tips? Please feel free to share. As soon as I have more time I will share my recipes, but there are plenty good ones here.

I wanted to say thank you for the comments on the Italian Styled Stewed Tomatoes. I am taking college finals right now and working so I haven't had to much personal time to play catch-up till this weekend. You know, I am in the same boat as you as far as remembering things for canning. I just jumped in and started because I made the mistake of going to Eastern Washington and buying fruits and veggies in bulk directly from the farms. The prices were SOOOO much cheaper that I ended up with almost 600 pounds of produce for 110.00. I couldn't believe it and then when I got home, well, let's just say that I went into shock again when I thought about having to can all of it. That'll jump start ya in a hurry! =D

BTW, sorry I took so long to comment but I also wanted to thank you for your comments on my site. . .that was so sweet of you! I work full time and go to college to finish my Bachelor's degree. . .and I am in the middle of finals this week. . .YUCK! Anyhoo, I am usually here daily, after work. Boy do I have a backlog of recipes to get on the site, including an awesome Mango salso. Thank you again and talk realll soon.


OMGoodness! What a busy lady! I have a vegetable garden and right now I want to start my own compost! My hubby keeps poopooing it so I will figure out a way =D. Thank you so much for the cooking buddy invite and I look forward to sharing recipes in the future. Oooh, that reminds me, I just started into the canning world this last year and I wouldn't trade this experience or flavors for anything in the world! I just acquired a long-standing recipe for making and canning my own ketchup. Definitely planting tomatoes =D
