About me
I am a pastry cook at a fancy-schmancy hotel. I rarely have time to cook at home any more, but when I do it usually involves bacon and/or garlic. I do whip up the occasional dessert in my spare (ha!) time, and have been experimenting lately with varietal honeys. Actually, the last thing I pulled out of the oven was carob brownies for my dog!

I don't have carob powder ---what is it for? Can I buy at the grocer? Does it just add flavor or needed like baking powder?

Carob is a chocolate substitute. If you ask me, it tastes nothing like chocolate, but I guess it'd do the trick if you had a severe allergy. I believe it is also vegetarian (o
