About me
I am a bus driver at the local state university. I am from a very multi-cultural family ( Dutch, Irish, Native American, Pakistani, French, Jamaican & Hungarian!). My little dachshund "Bob Barker" is the love of my life! I lived in Pakistan for 8 years & became a really good cook of that cuisine. I also do Mexican really well, as I was born & raised in California. My folks were from the south, so Southern cookin' is a particular love of mine. Love growing as many varities of chiles as I can get my hands on!

I appreciated you adding the curried goat recipe. I will try it today. I'm very interested in many different kinds of cuisine-I like to think of it as 'world food.' I love to make Asian,Indian,Hispanic,British food to name a few.Unusual herbs and spices rock! I'm into digging into a culture then emulating its food.Btw,you seem pretty cool...

CLAUDINE, HAPPY HALLOWEEN...CHERYL

Thanks for being my cooking buddy.

Thanks for your comment on my sweet potato bread. It is really pretty, and like everything I cook, can be "tweaked". That is what I like in a recipe!! I hope you will enjoy this bread!

Busmamawilliams,
Thank you for the comment on my cheesecake. I originally got the recipe from my husband's grandmother who was diabetic. But she made it with sugar and regular lemon jello. When I was diagnosed as diabetic in 1995 I converted the recipe to sugar-free so I could still enjoy the cake. I've tried to make it various ways--from fat-free, sugar-free to using knox gelatin instead of lemon jello.
The recipe I submitted is the best tasting so far.

Girl, where have you been? I miss you and your recipes. But I miss you more. Get back with us, and soon! Have a wonderful day. W/ hugs.....Cheryl

Oh I forgot to say if you make a gluten free corn bread then this recipe is fine... I have a gluten free recipe at the bottom of my recipe list... and there is a flour mix that can replace regular flour in most cookies and quick bread... but not really in bread that rises.... I alway have a double batch in the refrigerator for making recipes.

Thank you for the wonderful comments and great rating on the chorizo upside down cornbread recipe....
