In my mid-twenties I was found to have food allergies but when I got married my new husband did not want to eat based on my diet. Slowly, due to cost and the effort of making two meals, my special diet met it's end. My health cont
inued to have ups and many downs. The introduction of my two children changed our lives- and diets yet again. We needed to leave behind a number of foods, dairy, eggs, gluten, wheat, corn, potatoe etc etc. We did not test positive for celiac but have chosen to stay off it as much as we are able (efforts fluctuate- as do symptoms). We are becoming more comfortable with the new tastes and the losses of favourites. After 1 1/2 years we are now working on a cyclic and rounded diet and still include some foods we shouldn't but on a 5 day cycle. Water is the greatest gift that can wash away any negative symptoms. We continue on the challenge to please our palettes, albiet our symptoms and enhance our health.
