    What a coincidence. I've been doing the same for my old friend Other Guy, orange cat. He almost starved because he has a saliva gland that needs removal, and I cooked for him and fed him by hand until now he is big enough to withstand surgery. If I didn't help him the food fell out, but now he's adjusted and gets 2/3 down him!
