About me
Hi. I'm retired now, and living a full and happy life. I've four children and five grandchildren, only two of whom live near me (2 kids and 2 grand kids). My kitchen skills are well advanced, but cooking for one is discouraging. I love to read cookbooks just as some people love to read novels, and I have the stacks of cookbooks to show for it. I fantasize about the meals I could be doing as I read the wonderful recipes out there, and plan for the times I have a house full to feed.

Thanks Zena. I come from a very Irish city (Boston) and any Irish Soda bread I've ever had included caraway seeds and raisins. That's the reason for my question. Also, my bio says that I'm a beginning cook. Far from it. I've raised four children and several foster kids, so I know my way around the kitchen. I've reviewed your list of recipes and have printed out 16 of them - some for me and some for my kids. Thanks.
