About me
I learned about cooking and baking watching my mom growing up. I have alot of her old cookbooks and inherited some of my grandmother's. I have been called "feminine" because of my love of baking/cooking, but I think that's just hilarious. I love food so much that it's a good thing I became vegetarian and miss out on 75% of the food in the world. I'd weigh 400 lbs. by now. I am going to try crock-potting (although some would not call that cooking). I love to take a recipe and "make it my own", as Randy would say. I love the fact that this community of people exists and I intend to try as many of my friend's recipes as I can. And post some of my own when I find time! Peace, Scott

I noticed your vegetarian shepherd's pie and bookmarked that for sure as my youngest who is a vegetarian about killed me the other day for making a shepherd pie that she was unable to eat because of the meat. I told her I would find a veggie one for her and it would be alllll for her as the rest of us love my shepherd's pie as is LOL I look forward to checking out your recipes.

Hi Scott! Thanks for the friend invite. My husband likes to cook too - but I've pretty much kicked him outside to do the grilling and smoked meat. We bought 1/2 a calf from a place ran by Texas A&M, so it is not like that crap in the store. I have had low iron since I had my daughter 11 yrs ago. Now that I'm eating this beef around 3 times per week, I haven't felt this good in forever, so I couldn't possibly be a vegetarian. But more power to you! I love veggies...especially from my garden. I hope you put out some more recipes soon! I like to do at least one vegetarian dinner per week - and we don't eat meat on Fridays...my husband is an old school Catholic - but that's seafood day!
