Has anyone tried these yet? We've discovered that if they go hard from sitting out, they work great in Trifle!!
Would love to hear of other versions.

Chef.... I posted a note on the GF meatloaf recipe about the use of GF oatmeal..
you are correct that GF oatmeal is ok to eat for most GF people.....but that is the catch....for most....you have no idea if you are one of the ones that can eat oatmeal....what the recommendations are is that you get tested each year to make sure...
there may be more up dated info than I have if so please let me know....

being GF myself I have chosen not to eat oatmeal and forgo the yearly testing...

I love all the recipes that you have been posting.... keep them coming...

Cream of anything soup is not qluten free -- here is what we do for cream of mushroom soup. 6 oz canned mushrooms, 12 oz cream cheese, 1/2 -3/4 cups half and half, salt and pepper to taste -- Blend until smooth, add into the recipe where you would the soup.

It is a challenge to find gluten free recipes when you are not the one affected by the disease! I look forward to following your recipes and hope you can enlighten me with some new ideas!! The hardest part for Donalee is eatting out, or when she is in the hospital! You'd think a dietian would understand the disease a little better! Salads seem to be everyone's quick answer to the problem!

I did forget to say I use gluten free soy sauce... and you are right about the gluten free oatmeal -- Donalee isn't confident in us trying it tough. It is hard to teach old dogs new tricks, sometimes. I just make it easy and do it her way, since I'm not the one who will get sick if I'm wrong!

Run for the salt shaker. I sauteed all with S&P then had to add more at the end. That said, there's lots of flavor going on here. I liked it a lot. It's mother tested and approved.

I wonder how this would be with egg pasta? It may be too heavy, though. Sounds great, though! Will def be a do'er and a keeper :)
