I DO have my grandmother's old, old hand crank one, so maybe I need to dig that out and give it a try, since that's the one you always had the best luck with...I always figured the newer ones would be better, but that may not be the case with this particular cookie. Her old press had several of the different shapes...I always loved those cookies at Christmas!! Thanks for your comments...Krum
