About me
I love to cook and you'll find most of my recipes are fast and easy to make. Besides just thinking about flavor, which is important, I also consider ecological ways of cooking that save time and energy.
I am new to the scene but, I will be adding other recipes that I enjoy in the near future.

I have been cooking since I was very young, both parents had to work so, I had full reign over the kitchen and neither my brother or sister enjoyed cooking and I did most of the cooking for the family growing up.

If you are thinking about buying metal baking pans, think again. I would reccomend buying all glassware that's oven safe. It's easy to clean, won't wear out at all and will last a lifetime. I have oven safe glassware pie, loaf, big and small baking pans and everything I use in the oven is now glassware and most of it is made in the good ole USA and can also be used in the microwave if need be and can be much cheaper than buying metal pans that eventually wear out, rust, get scratched and have to eventually be thrown away. I still hold onto my metal baking sheet for making cookies and the like but, I also put a nonstick silicone blue cookie sheet on top of the pan. This will also increase the life of your baking sheet as nothing ever touches the surface so there is really nothing to clean but the blue cookie sheet and that's a snap. You can find them at K-Mart and Target like the one shown in the link. http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/ref=pd_ecc_rvi_2/601-5013353-3553757?ie=UTF8&asin=B0009F51VE

As far as stove top pans are concerned I prefer silverstone, they are easy to clean and use less oil and fat and of course the best part is nothing ever sticks and is a very durable brand name that I reccomend. You simply clean with soap and warm water with a soft scrubber sponge. Most of the scrubbing is done to the outside as the inside takes no effort to clean at all. I know that some people are against the nonstick coating stuff but for me it's fast, easy to clean and use and I hate spending lots of time scrubbing pans that never seem to get clean.

I hope these tips make cooking fast and easier for you!

Take Care, Chuck :)

Love your tips and am making your pot roast tonight.About your pans I personally use cast iron not only is durable but is easy to clean and you can bake in it as well.I do my pineapple upside down cake, it comes out awsome!!Then there is the health aspect, great source of iron.I do have my glass bake ware as well.

Thanks for your tips...

Thanks for the tips. I find that glassware bakes differently, do you? I also have some glass pots from my grandmother, but I haven't used them. I'm always wondering how easily they will break.

Easy 3 Hour Pot Roast
It doesn't fall apart? Maybe I'm not understanding, but isn't that what you want the roast to do? I love it when the roasts fall apart -- they're so tender.

Easy 3 Hour Pot Roast
I prefer my roast firm so it can be sliced. I have eaten it the other way as well and really it's more of a preference than anything. The roast I prepare is still very moist a
