About me
Growing up, my mother never let me in the kitchen because she thought I dirtied too many dishes! So I didn't know what boiling water even looked like until I was in my mid-20's. When I was married, my husband did all the cooking and I always cleaned up! Finally, I dated a guy with a large family and it was sink or swim! I took cooking classes and finally plunged in feet first! Were my early dishes a success? Well, nobody got sick; but I didn't get any compliments. 9 years later, I gave up on the guy, but I gained experience "catering" for his family's feasts. His mother, who was not generous with compliments (shall we say) once said that I had made the best turkey she had ever had for Thanksgiving! I knew that I had succeeded! That's why I included my picture of me and my "proud turkey" :-)
