About me
Retired, living in Southern California. I no longer cook as much since it is just me and the pup at home now. But I still love to cook for the whole family as they gather here. Good family, good food, good times! Who could ask for anything more? Family also includes my ex-husband, his wife, their adult son and her father (Dad). Works well for all of us, no matter how odd it would seem to others. The kids(?) are very close, including their spouses. Our oldest son moved to Illinois 3 years ago, which cut our gatherings considerably since they took our only 4 grandkids with them. I mean, how inconsiderate is that? Taking the grands away! We told them they could move, but the kids stay. Luckily they only laughed at us since we 3G's (grandparents) are too tired to manage 4 wild ones, unless it became necessary of course. My son was the biggest "Mom will cook for all of us" instigator in the group. He would volunteer my services for every occasion he could dream up, but did offer to help prep & clean up so it was OK. Naturally he would put to vote what they wanted. Right down to taking requests for extras to be added, which has made for some unusual menus along the way. Gotta love the family. Mine are superior & I love each and every one of them dearly, blood related or not.
