About me
Hi everyone, I thought I just leave a few words here about myself, will add more later. My name is Susanna, 47 years old, mom of one daughter (18) and one son (16), we are all born in Austria/Vienna and lived there since last year. One year ago I fell in love and married my husband John, an American Foreign Service Officer and we are now all living in Switzerland, Bern. This will be until next year June, then we will move to another country (we do not know yet). That means my native language is German, but we speak most of the time English at home. We live in a beautiful and big apartment in Bern with a big terrace, where I started to grow herbs and vegetables in pots and small containers. The results I use in my kitchen. We love spicy food (e.g. mexican and cajun) but I also tried thai-food and last week we were in the States, in New York and Washington and visited also the Native American Museum where they served delicious native american cuisine, which I would love to try out at home soon. I love to try out new cuisine/food and have collected very much recipes during the last years and also I have lots of cookbooks (mostly in German). I look very much forward to explore this place and share a lot of food-experiences with you all. The photo I put on now is me in Paris last September where we spent our honeymoon! --- "My idea of pure heaven is to spend a day in the kitchen, peeling, chopping, and stirring while the words of a good book fill the air around me." (Ruth Reichl) --- SORRY everybody that I am not that much around I just got two temporarily jobs and my life increased in being busy, lol, which of course also means that it increased in opportunities -;) --- but I am not able always to answer or react fast on messages or send new recipes - but I will be baaaack, I promise!! Thanks so much for the nice comments on my recipes and for all the great recipes which I found here!!! - Hugs! - Susanna

Saw ur comment on the babana bread page. my cat loved parmesan cheese too!!

I live in Fredericksburg Texas, a German culture community. I am interested in learning more about cooking in your native country. I also have a different type of food blog you might be interested in visiting. This blog is for people all over the world to share something about food as they know it, or a memory perhaps.

The Ten Commandments Of G
Thanks, I'm usually letting the juices out by stabbing the meat. Also, greasing the grill sounds because a lot of my meats stick.
