    Well, I have made heaps of beer breads and I can't see why this one wouldn't be any good. I reckon putting a heap of fats (cheese and pepperoni) into it, instead of something a little drier like ham, would make it sufficiently doughy to prevent it cooking. Anyhow, I reckon the touch with the butter is a wholesome thing to do. I will try it next time the friends and I are impressing each other. Thanks.

    Interesting quick reference points.

    My Weber seems to cook at a much slower during winter months than during summer. Quite noticably, though I'm not sure why, given that I keep the cover on both seasons. Wonder if I can detect a difference using your hand method? Will try it.

    I'm a lone shrimp eater in the house and this sounds perfect. Just cut off a little for a few shrimp(YUM) and it wont go to waste since it can be used for so many other things as well.
