About me
Hi everybody! I love to cook, talk, swap recipes and I make or have made all the recipes I post. I don't rate any recipes unless I actually try them out first. I live in Southern California with my husband of 12 years; between us we have 6 children and 12 grandchildren spread across the U.S. Cooking "from scratch" is my first love and cooking with booze is my second! Enjoy using fresh fruit and vegetables...whatever is in season. Most of my friends here in "the village" have retired from cooking...they thought it was funny when I proudly sent them pictures of my Homemade Turkey Stock at Thanksgiving time! Ha! I particularly like recipes that have unusual ingredient combinations! I like all kinds of music, and particularly lean towards classical. This past year I also discovered Eva Cassidy's music; particularly her "Eva By Heart" album ...love it! (Google her and check out her youtube performance.) I'm in the process of putting together a family cookbook for a reunion this summer. I enjoy meeting new friends on this site; most are very kind...and btw, I need to cut down on my use of exclamation marks!
